It’s fine for road cars, but for nice, even, fresh look it’s best to add a coat every few months. However I wouldn’t bother taking the wheels off for retouching. Just cover the brakes with plastic. Salt leaves stains;(

Off road can be tricky. After all it’s basically synthetic rubber in a bottle.
