Not associated with the seller in any way.. Just thought I'd let membership know.
if its still FS when I am back in the US I will be sorely tempted even though its on other side of country.

Oh man, you should snag that one. Great clean example with all the needed mods done for you already. If I didn't have mine with all the money I've been throwing into mine, I would buy that this weekend. Looks to be 33" tires too. Someone is going to get a great deal.

I am still 8 weeks out form being back in US...
It will likely be sold by then.

I suppose I could put down a binding deposit.. still not sure if a dealer would hold it for 2 months..even if I made it no refundable...
And there is still a chance i might be extended 2 more weeks (and I would take it the salary i make as expat is unreal so even those 2 extra weeks would be worth it)

If its still FS in 4 weeks and my return date has firmed up I would likely put a deposit down.

Of course buying something sight unseen without a testdrive is super risky.

It could have rust issues (even though our cars rarely do get them bad)
The lift could have been done badly so it rubs and wallows..

There is no telling w/o a testdrive...

It looks well sorted and was clearly loved by its previous owner... so it may be in better shape than expected.. still..

Totally agree with you about rust, lift, and its driving condition. You can definitely tell the previous owner(s) put a lot of love and money into it by seeing that custom switch panel. An aftermarket switch/button that could possibly be for a locker, but didn't seem to have a compressor in the engine bay anywhere that I can see? The engine bay looks really clean and the electrical was done correctly from what I can tell.

The only downer is that why would the previous owner not have a spare with the same size tire as the other 4? I actually notice a lot of people do that. Well, I hope fortune is on your side and you get back in time to check it out in person and buy it.

For that location I'd love an auxiliary tank.

That snorkel is a bit over the top though.. one advantage of our cars is that not everyone recognizes thier capability right away since they are not Jeeps, 4 Runners etc

I kinda like the snorkel.. The back door on the left side looks odd

Yeah, I saw that. Looks like a dent in the door.
Radiator looks upgraded.

I'm also liking this one.. I little less over the top (even though the mods on the other one look near perfect) and will fly a bit more under the radar:
(also is it just me or do the panel gaps look extra healthy? perhaps fresh springs in it?)
