He had it installed and working. Took it on a test drive. I haven't heard from him for a minute though.

Also, the only hold up on the ARB is the c-clips. If there were a way to install some sort of c-clip eliminator on the R200, the ARB would fit.

Haha, I don't even own a Pathfinder yet just been doing a lot of research.

I was really hoping the C200K ARB would be bolt in, but c-clips keep installation from being possible. I have talked with a couple installation shops and ARB.

Rugged Rocks is waiting on some install pics from Lester to see the inside of an R200.

I am going to keep working on seeing if a RD196 will work. If its impossible I might go rear Quaife or front ARB.

Well that is certainly an option, but I think swapping diffs just to have a selectable locker is overkill. I don't think ARB has released the 3.54&down R230 locker yet (still waiting on 50 orders) so I would still be waiting. And sinking roughly $3k+ in the rear end which I could probably do a M226 SAS for less.

In my mind the V6 R51 with the fulltime 4wd option and a selectable rear locker is the most desirable. Depending on use, either a mechanical LSD or auto-locker would be next.

A guy over on Expedition Portal is trying the R200 Quaife in the C200k which if it works could be viable option for us as an LSD. Over on TitanTalk, guys are swapping out the stock e-locker for a TrueTrac which is the same as a Quaife. There are several reviews raving about the mechanical LSD + ABLS capability.

LesterB is rocking the autolocker and hopefully Powertrax takes his measurements and is willing to sell them c-clip compatible.

So all we need is a selectable locker option and the R200 would have all the options we could want.

We just have to convince these companies its worth the investment as the R200/C200k is used in the 350z, G35, Xterra, Frontier, Pathfinder, 370z, and G37. Thats a whole lot of vehicles.

That's primarily why I haven't dove onto the R230 ARB boat just yet, for that type of $$$, a SAS could be done.

Not sure how many have looked into it here, but I bet it would be pretty simple using an Xterra/Frontier rear end and leaf springs since they share platforms.

Now that I think about it an M226 with stock e-locker on a R51 would be LEGIT! Its what the R51 Off-Road should have been.

What about a coil sprung M226 SAS instead of leaf sprung?

I was thinking about that after my comment. It might make it even easier.

Although you would have to fab up control arms. I am not smart enough on coil springs and SAS's to debate either.

Any master fabricators around here? Or rock-crawling aficionados?

Dude, call up Steve at Rugged Rocks and tell him you want to either lock the R200 or do a SAS. He is extremely knowledgeable, loves nissans and is great to work with.
