R51 genuine Nissan Caster/Camber Kit part numbers

Postby smj999smj » Sun Mar 22, 2015 1:59 pm

Nissan doesn't sell a caster/camber kit for the R51 under one part number, rather each part separately. The Nissan kits are better than the less expensive, aftermarket kits. For those wanting the Nissan kit, here are the part numbers. The provided quantities will give you a complete kit for BOTH front control arms. FYI, the same part numbers are used if you should need to replace the camber and/or toe adjustment bolts on the rear suspension. Camber/caster adjustment bolts are provided from the factory for the rear suspension, but are usually not supplied for the front suspension. The 05-and-later Frontiers and Xterras also use the same parts for the front suspension as the V6 R51. Torque spec for the nut is 101 ft/lbs.

Pin assy., Nissan P/N 54580-7S000, Quantity: 4
Disc eccentric, Nissan P/N 54559-1Z600, Quantity: 4
Nut, Nissan P/N 08918-6441A, Quantity: 4

If you have an R51 Pathfinder with the V8 engine, part numbers are as follows:

Pin assy., Nissan P/N 54580-7S005, Quantity: 4
Disc eccentric, Nissan P/N 54559-7S005, Quantity: 4
Nut, Nissan P/N 08918-6441A, Quantity: 4

Four of each part will replace all of the bolts that attach both controls arms to the frame.

I know this thread is a few months old, but thanks for the post OP!!! I had some aftermarket bolts in my Amazon cart to buy when I decided to look into it first and fortunately found this thread. I wanted to see some pics comparing the two... There is definitely a big difference between aftermarket and OEM Nissan. Here's a thread from Club Frontier with pics and further explanation: http://www.clubfrontier.org/forums/f26/ ... ts-100506/

I have a question about this -- for this precise part number (54580-7S000), the Nissan page says only 2 bolts are needed.

Here's what it says:

55080-7S010
Bolt-Link, Rear Suspension
VQ40DE, VQ40DE + VK56DE 02 $7.75 $5.77
1
Submit
55080+A
54580-7S000
Bolt-Link, Rear Suspension
VQ40DE, VQ40DE + VK56DE 02 $23.89 $16.89
1

Can somebody explain?

Hi SoloVoyager, sorry you've been waiting for a reply.

If your suspension is the same as a US-spec R51 (2005-2012) Pathfinder's, then the quantities given in smj999smj's original post are correct for the front end. 4 of each part number is the right amount for the complete front end.

I had to replace all 4 lower control arms when I did my lift due to seized bolts. I used Mevotech aftermarket lower control arms from RockAuto.com on all 4 corners, and the Nissan caster/camber part numbers smj posted.

***Please note, when replacing the rear lower control arms, only 2 complete sets of parts were required in total. I ordered 4 as required for the front, but had 2 sets left over.

To summarize:

These quantities will provide caster/camber bolts for the complete front end, as smj999smj states in the original post:
Pin assy., Nissan P/N 54580-7S000, Quantity: 4
Disc eccentric, Nissan P/N 54559-1Z600, Quantity: 4
Nut, Nissan P/N 08918-6441A, Quantity: 4

If you want replacement caster/camber bolts for the rear end as well, you'll need 2 more complete sets of the same part numbers, making all "Quantity: 6".

In the US, 2005 Pathfinders came with the front caster/camber kit installed from the factory, 2006 and later did not. All years (2005-2012) of the R51 seem to have the rear bolts included from the factory, though.

Hope that was helpful!

PS Very jealous that you have a diesel! Neither diesel engines nor manual transmissions were available on R51's in the US. :-( Very cool!

V8 Front Camber Bolts

Postby 2008V8PATHY » Mon Jul 16, 2018 5:33 am

Has anyone else actual used these part numbers on a V8 Pathfinder? These are listed as Armada/Titan bolts. Original bolts are no longer available and parts sites do not list a replacement.

If you have an R51 Pathfinder with the V8 engine, part numbers are as follows:

Pin assy., Nissan P/N 54580-7S005, Quantity: 4
Disc eccentric, Nissan P/N 54559-7S005, Quantity: 4
Nut, Nissan P/N 08918-6441A, Quantity: 4

I'm sorry if this is a super noob question but I'm lifting the front and bought a set of bolts that's required to help keep the alignment in spec. However, where do you install them?? Lower and upper control arms? Because when I get underneath I counted 4 total for each side that can take the bolts. So I'm super stumped and don't want to put them in the wrong place. Again I'm sorry if I'm asking a stupid question but suspension work is very new to me. Thanks !

They go in place of the lower control arm mounting bolts, meaning the bolts that attach the lower control arm to the frame.

Hello there

The R51s use two adjustment points in the rear for aligning the pathfinders rear tires

One adjustment point is on the coil bucket. That adjustment point adjusts the rear toe. The coil bucket is where the coil spring sits.

The other adjustment point is on the lower control arm that is connected to the rear knuckle. That adjustment point deals with the rear camber of the vehicle

The Lower control arm in the rear has only 1 camber bolt instead of 2 like in the front. It uses 1 regular bolt and 1 camber bolt.

If you are doing both rear sides for camber adjustability you will need the following:

2) cam bolts

2) regular bolts

2) cam washers

4) nuts

Here are part numbers for the rear camber bolt and the regular bolt

Regular bolt Part # 55080-7S010

Rear camber bolt Part # 54580-7S000

Nut part # 08918-6441A

Cam washer part # 54559-1Z600

(NOTE: the part description says the cam washer is for the front suspension but the cam washers are used on both the front and rear.)

Figured I'd post this.
The coil bucket cam bolts are a shorter length. Same plate and nut.

Hi all,

There are 2 conflicting answers in here for rear only.

I know for certain there are 2 adjustable bolts + 2 nuts + 2 eccentric washers for the coil buckets, but for control arms I am not sure if it is either:

  • 4 adjustable bolts
  • 4 nuts
  • 4 eccentric washers
or
  • 2 adjustable bolts
  • 2 nuts
  • 2 eccentric washers
  • 2 regular bolts
  • 2 nuts
  • 2 regular washers
Can anyone confirm?
