replacing door handle on 2005 new model pathy

Hi All,
I'm in need of some help from anyone who may have done this please. I somehow managed to pop the door handle on my pathfinder. driver's side 200 (new model). Its a commercial so no back windows in the rear.
I took apart door panel and popped out the handle but I still cant figure out exactly what's broken...or how the mechanism works!
It doesn't make sense to me where the cable is supposed to go. Has anyone tried this that could help? I have attached two pics of what I have which i hope may help.
