Running 33s now

Postby Code Pathfinder » Fri Jul 05, 2019 9:11 pm

So I promised a surprise for those who've been following the suspension rebuild post.

I got myself some new Wheels and Tires :D

Wheel Specs:

Wheel Diameter: 16 in.

Wheel Width (in): 8.000 in.

Wheel Material: Aluminum

TPMS Sensor Compatible: Yes

Primary Wheel Color: Black

Wheel Finish: Matte

Manufacturers Wheel Series: American Racing Baja Series

Backspacing (in): 4.500 in.

Offset: 0.00mm

Tire Specs:

LEXANI Terrain Beast AT Tires

285/75/16 10ply tires

Heres a recent pic with them on. Currently paired with a 3 inch suspension lift.

A FEW NOTES:

1. These wheels will not fit unless you run 1.50 inch wheel spacers. The backspacing on these wheels will not clear the front calipers without them.

2. Trimming will be required on the front but not the rear.

3. Dont cheap out on TPMS SENSORS. mine have already malfunctioned and my TPMS LIGHT is now on.

Can you go bigger or wider tire?
295 / 75 16 or 305 / 70 16

I would like to put on 315 75 16 but I believe will require body lift. Also 8 inch wheel width - might be too narrow for 315?

Looking good by the way

I would imagine you could go bigger but you would definitely want a 2 inch+ body lift with a 2-3 inch+ suspension lift.

Trimming would be necessary. I had to cut away some plastic and metal but nothing crazy to get my 33s to fit.

They do still rub when I hit potholes or I dip into a low spot in the front.

The rear doesn’t rub at all

Build looks great Code! I have the same wheels. Look great, but you’re definitely right about needing spacers for those wheels. I had to have some made to clear the brakes.
