Thanks for the response. I went in and looked at the service bulletin and I think it explains my problem. I am taking it with me to the dealer for the repair.

2005 Pathfinder 4.0 Engine Noise

I have a '05 Pathfinder with 43,000 miles. The engine has started making a metallic whirring noise at idle. It is not a belt squeak, but sounds like a turbine of a jet engine. I have read a couple of posts on other sites, and they are saying this noise is the result of plastic camshaft belt tensione...
