thanks for lil write up, I had to do the same recently...well maybe 5 months ago to my maximas hood support. Man when they went bad, those bad boys caught me off guard and just let the hood slam on my head lol.

I second that yay for hood/gate that stays up!

hey new guy here too, not bad price for year...but man! no power windows or door locks? I cant live without those things. I just got my 94 SE and I do wish it was a stick though.

Alright so I took the fan blades and housing off today to see if the crank pulley was simply loose or if the crankshaft was actually broken and to my benefit...the 28mm bolt was simply loose. I tightened and gave the battery a jump and voila! starts up and idles at 950 rpms solid. Will be replacing ...

So whats common to go bad on these?

Hey guys, new to the Pathfinder world, just got my first Pathy 2 days ago (check intro thread) and will be doing some extensive maintenance work on it soon, what are things that are common on this generation pathfinders? I got a 1994 SE.

Sweet looking ride Maxi, during your mechanical checkout have the mechanic pop off the oil sump or one of the front cover plates such as for the timing belt and if you have built up carbon deposits you might want to think of how to get rid of those in your engine. :| Welcome to the forum. :) .
