As long as you take care of it, and service it, the Pathfinder will not give you problems.

Maybe get some touch-up paint and cover it up. If you don't want to do that, you can go to a local body shop. I'm sure most do spot repairs. I need to get a few dings like that fixed. Someone put a nice scratch in the passenger side rear quarter panel and it is down to the sheet metal.

Engine Cleaner

Has anyone used a type of engine cleaner like the following link? If anyone has, is it safe to use?

There seems to be a lot of dirt and dust that gets under the hood of Nissan's cars and trucks.

Stick with the Pathfinder. More reliable, and dependable, and not as high maintenance as the Explorer. I drove from Philly to Boston this past winter, and the whole trip, the ride was smooth and the Pathfinder felt solid on the road. I also got very good gas mileage too. About 21 mpg on the highway.

I go by strictly what the owner's manual says. I don't want the dealer coming back to me one day if I bring it in for a warranty repair, and they tell me it's voided cause I never put premium fuel in the tank.

I installed the AVS in-channel vent visors. I didn't want to use the OEM ones because I didn't want to stick them directly onto the paint.

I tinted my two front windows, and the shop did a great job of matching the factory tint. For anyone here in the Philly area, I went to Sound Waves in Prospect Park. These guys also do custom audio installation for car and home.

Only the driver window had the auto up/down feature befor the 2008 model. Now the 2008 and up have both driver and passenger auto up/down.

I haven't had any issues like that. It seems as though it is with the V8 owners that this is happening to. I have the V6. Mine's a V6 also. Maybe you just haven't pushed it to the VDC brink yet? I invariably hit one of the local REI stores a couple times a month. The freeway offramp swings one onto...
