Nissan is doing what is right and taking the car back. They have saved themselves as a company but I will not go back to another Pathfinder for a while since even the 2014 I drove had the same issue.

After a several dealer visits of "that is normal for a CVT" they are replacing the entire transmission under warranty.

They should have wider tires on the 20". In front wheel mode, I think it is too much weightand will wear bad. Also with all the round-abouts I do not expect mine to last too long.

They are quiet while driving and seem to have adequate grip. Rain is good. Have not had in snow yet.

It has an auto feature like the front that can be controlled by the front. Or you can set it to be controlled in the rear. Is either of that contributing?

Downsides? Not too many. I noticed one time, under very light throttle application, that the transmission shuddered a bit around 10-15mph...like it was trying to decide what ratio to shift to. And the hard acceleration from a stop is disconcerting. Not a problem, but disconcerting. Very happy with ...
