F***, I've finally had it. Fuse to keep seat from moving?

Ok, I've got some serious OCD with my seats and mirrors. Mirrors I'm ok with having to adjust at times, but the seat, I hate when my seat gets moved. So, after my oil change today and my seat, mirrors, and rear view mirror were all adjusted for the 20' drive, I need to figure something out. Is there...

I swear...love this vehicle, BUT... Driveshaft noise?

oK, 2008 Pathfinder SE 4x4 Had the ujoints replaced on the front and rear driveshaft 3 months ago after major vibrations. It fixed my issues, except for at speeds of 75mph and over. But here is my question. I've got another noise, a creaking, binding noise that is in the rear when I accelerate from ...

Went ahead and had the real lower control arms replaced with the factory Nissan control arms. $150 each. Also did Monroe shocks and struts. The Pathfinder seems to be lifted about an inch higher than before, so it looks really good. Not sure why or how as I double checked that these are the proper s...

I confirmed that the control arms I ordered come with the bushings.

Coil Arm Bucket Arm Bushings......have no idea how they look. I'll google it and check it out though.

Mevotech control arms from Rockauto.com or genuine Nissan arms. There are no bushings available from Nissan. I also answered your PM. I already have the bolts and just ordered the lower control arms from Nissan. $150 each. Do I now need to order bushings? The lower control arms don't come with new ...

Rear control arms - camber bolt seized - quick question

My rear camber adjustment bolts are seized on my 2008 Pathfinder. Two separate shops have told me they cannot get the bolts out without destroying the bushings, so I need new control arms for the lower rear. Anyone have suggestions on where to order and what control arms I need to purchase? I was th...

Same here. 2008 Pathfinder. Have 120,000 on it and it's done it since I bought it at 65,000. Have been told it's "normal" for these.....

Thanks for this info. I had all the u-joints replaced and it took care of all of the vibration under 75 mph. Anything above 75 mph and there is still a noticeable vibration. I'm going to take it back to the shop this week and see if they can take another look at it and see if it just needs balanced ...

Have to agree on the Hankook Dynopro AT - Absolutely kick ass tire. I was able to get about 60,000 miles out of a set on a Grand Cherokee and they were amazing in the snow and ICE. Just put some Firestone Destination A/T's on the Pathfinder and they are great in the snow as well. Time will tell how ...

u-joint noise - New Tires - have a couple questions.

Took the 2008 Pathfinder into a shop and asked them to look at the rear drive shaft as I thought it was having issues. They called me and told me they were looking for a new drive shaft for it and would have to take it somewhere to have it fixed......I immediately knew they didn't know WTF they were...

Awesome info, and thanks to all of you for the quick reply. Going to take it to a shop on Thursday and have them replace the u-joints, hoping that my drive shaft is not out of balance.

Looks like my aftermarket warranty covers the rear diff. I'll just have to run it down to the Nissan dealer and have them take a look at it I suppose.....

Rear u-joint replacement

I've got a vibration from the rear and I am most certain it's the u-joints needing replaced or a drive shaft issue. Here is my question - Can you replace the u-joints on the rear drive shaft? You cannot on our Subaru (had to replace the entire shaft) so I wanted to make sure that you can with the Pa...

Sometimes it will flash and take a couple minutes for it to get back into 2wd if I'm at higher speeds. Mine is the same as smj999smj in that if I stop and reverse a couple feet and put it back into drive it immediately disengages.
