258k miles here on my '08. changed the plugs, front u joints, and front brakes, thats it! runs great, almost all highway miles. the AC compressor vibrates pretty rough at times, but not bad, you can hear it and feel it, but i figure thats just a side effect of it kicking in. the timing could probabl...

my '08 R51 has 258,000 miles on it and im averaging around 16-17 mpg depending on season. The winter I usually end up around 15-16 mpg as the engine runs rich and the gas gets winter additives. The North Dakota winters are killer on gas mileage. I've found that the oil pan heater + synthetic oil + g...

I just got off the phone with a guy at Nissan here in town, and they are going to take my truck over night and see if there is somethi...

Strange lateral movement at highway speeds

I'm hoping that someone will be able to help me out. Lately I have noticed that while cruising down the highway, at times, it feels as though the truck is floating left and right, in an almost scary way. It feels as though the rear end is letting go, then grabbing, then letting go, then grabbing aga...

With the amount of highway driving I do weekly and the increasing prevalence of ethanol in the lower octane mixes, I have been running pure premium (highest grade possible, usually 91 or 93 and NO ethanol). If there is no premium available, I will only take as much lower octane as I will need to get...
