when brakes are applied .. but I'm thinking the relationship could just be the rapidness of the deceleration (coming off a 65mph highway) and not the brakes. Maybe I'll try decelerating with the clutch only 2nit (after rev match) to see what happens I would think if rotor I'd feel a lot more steerin...

It's become an issue as the alternative is to start replacing metal (rotors/drums, etc) with no real feel for what the real cause is.
