There's no need to make any marks. Basically, all you need to do is jack up the suspension to the highest point (i.e. the way it would be if the wheel was on the ground). So when the truck is on jack stands, I put a block of wood and a jack under the hub and jack it up to the point that the truck st...

Not sure I am clear on the question, but just installed Moog springs and the 4600's a couple of weeks ago. My stock struts were so rusted, I didn't even bother taking them apart and used all new parts. I bought this kit which included the metal sleeve. https://www.moog-suspension-parts.com/moog-k160...

Front differential capacity

Changed the gear oil in my front diff last weekend. The service manual states the capacity is 1.75 pints. It also says to check the level is at the filler hole.

However, I was able to put in a quart and the level still wasn't to the filler hole.

What is the correct capacity?

Thanks

Clay
It makes it louder.

Since I have an intake not sure which makes more noise. In the cab, the exhaust doesn't sound "fantastic" but outside it sounds rather nice.

I had to pay $10 for a replacement. Their service seems dependent on who you speak to

Mine leaked after two years. The hole is on the bottom where it sits on the rear control arms.

Haven't taken it out yet to see what was the cause

Not saying that's what you have, but I have seen it before.

Maybe your resevoir has a crack or your pressure cap is faulty.
Didn't think about the cap. Will add that to the list to check

There is just a short hose. Did you recently add coolant? If not, I would be concerned about head gasket issues. How does your coolant look? Hadn't added coolant but doubt it's a head gasket. It was wet below the reservoir and next to the battery. A head gasket would just blow it through the engine...

Is there a hose connected to the coolant overflow?

I occasionally smell coolant coming from the front passenger tire area. I got under the car and checked all the cooling lines to the back and found no issues. Finally saw coolant running down behind the wheel well lining. Traced it up and saw there there was coolant on the top right under the coolan...

Have you tried replacing the PCV? I'm having a similar issue and may spend the $15 to try if that makes a difference.

Unless you're thinking about replacing the interior trim with CF type pieces, not sure if making parts to actually reduce the weight of the truck is worth while.
