Well, I have the car back and it seems to be working well. The guy at the garage did explain everything to me and why they choose a more expensive rack and pinion over one of lesser cost and that these jobs had a lot of labor. 01, 180k miles - So when i was looking at my oil pan leak I noticed that they boots on my rack and pinion were torn. Also since my last tire rotation the car vibrates at highway speed. I bought the Centrics daily driver (not the value ones) pads and premium rotors from RockAuto. Happy with them so far. My nephew works in a garage and he says they only use Centric because they are a good value for the garage and the customer.

I took it to a real mechanic and they say its the lower oil pan gasket and oil cooler o ring (does that sound right). Much less expensive than the upper oil pan.

Ok. Yes. It is the upper pan. I will try to get some sealant in there and see what happens before I drop the $500 on it. I will get the sparks done at next service. Thanks for the help.

2003 Pathfinder, 3.5L, 180k miles. They guy at NTB tells me my oil gasket is leaking on the passenger side at the top of the pan (is the more than one gasket) and is covering the starter and O2 sensor because the oil is blowing back while I drive. The service writer said it will insulate the starter...

Fortunately the window is stuck in the Up position. I went to "roll" the window down and nothing. All other windows work fine. I have read about resetting the limit switch, but that doesn't seem be an issue since the window won't come down. Where do you start troubleshooting?

Ordered my parts last week from RockAuto. Had to buy the bolts from 4x4 Auto Parts. Both arrived quickly. NTB installed them this weekend for me for a couple hours of labor and also added an alignment. I looked at the old part....it was definitely time to replace. I guess you don't notice the bushin...
