i agree with SilverGhost........ "piston slap" or not, i think it's terrible to just start up a cold engine, stick it in gear & drive away. a couple of minutes of warm-up assures better oil circulation & lubrication, before putting it under load. this can only be a benefit in the ...

I can't speak directly to this being a specific problem with the VQ40. I've noticed a bit of noise on startup during cold weather (+20F is about as cold as it ever gets in Houston, TX). But warming it up for a couple of minutes takes care of that. Driving off immediately after startup was never an a...

Is it possibility to change it to C° and km, I change F° into C° on the rear-view mirror with the knob on him.
What model year do you own? Believe it or not, that may make a difference.

That info is readily available on the Internet. Search Edmunds, MSN Autos, etc., etc., and do your own year-by-year comparison.

Oops, my bad . . . it IS a separate piece. My sincere apologies for jumping the gun.

Check here for part number ($70 US) -

Whether it'll clip/bolt on to earlier models is open to question.

I am almost 100% certain that this is a factory piece for sure, yet I can't find out anything on the nissan parts websites. Surely some brainiac here can point a brother in the right DI-rection. :) it is a factory piece only on LE models. its a stupid plastic clipon that breaks off by itself soon a...

I snapped off one of my rear seatbelt holders (plastic) a couple weeks ago pulling out some large boxes, so I'm trying to figure out how to repair that one first. Not meaning to hijack this thread, but the entire clip should be replaceable. I think it just snaps into a hole in the side trim panel. ...

I dunno. I've been looking at them, but 75 bucks for the fronts, or $120 or so for a full set, is pretty spendy.
I still say you must drive around with studded golf shoes, or at the very least, have a super twitchy foot.
Say what you will, but the fact is there's nothing but Cole Haan's and New Balance tennies that have set foot in there. As for the twitchy foot, nothing but normal...

Silverghost, I'm amazed too! I wonder if the material is softer in the color that you have. I dunno, but I'm not buyin' another set, that's for damn sure! Unfortunately, the passenger and second row mats have rarely had a foot set on 'em, so they're still pristine. As my sig says, "should'a go...

What color is your interior? It's usually best to use the same color for the pin stripes.

As for cost, I wouldn't pay more than $50. Your dealer will charge 4X that, but I'm sure Lake Charles has several trim shops that would be more than happy to do it for much less.

Thanks to dryart's suggestion, I think I'm going to look around for a thin piece of solid rubber that I can glue to the bottom of the weathertech liner. That should help prevent the weathertech from sliding around so much when cramming in heavy things & removing them. Steve, is your cargo area ...

Just in case you guys think I'm yankin' your chain about the wear on my driver's-side mat, take a look at these. That red thing is a WD-40 spray tube stuck through the hole I just discovered. http://www.flickr.com/photos/74502587@N00/4222623723/in/photostream/ http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2694/422...

Ghost, do you drive around with golf shoes all the time?
Nope, just dress and tennis shoes. I'm really amazed that they've worn so much.
