Trailer Wiring with Brakes

Not sure if there was ever a resolution to this, but I have a few questions regarding my 2005. I do find a few different part numbers for the OEM harness to add 7-way connector. Some of the pictures include a T connector wire and some don't. I'm assuming the T connector installed inline would allow ...

Brake Speed Bleeders with anti-siphon

Need to (want to) bleed the brakes on my 2005 2WD. Several years ago I bled the brakes on my Cadillac Seville using a "speed bleed" valve. There was a mechanism inside it to disallow air to enter back into the system while pumping, making this a "one man" process - no need to kee...

First Towing Experience With PF

Thought I would just drop a note about some towing I did over the weekend - a medium sized trailer to haul some furniture we bought. I guess this would be considered a "light" load compared to what the PF is capable of. It was as if the trailer wasn't there - handling, acceleration, brakin...

Brake Squeal!

My brakes do this all the time - at every stop hot or cold. I'm trying to determine why the brakes would squeal exclusively just before coming to a complete stop - what is happening mechanically and how is the pad seated (or not?) to the disc at that specific time?

Brake Squeal!

I have the quintessential brake squeal, but only when "inching along" in traffic (just before actually stopping). All 4 sets of brake pads have, I would say, at least 80% of usable surface remaining. I pulled all pads and associated hardware (dust shield) cleaned and greased everything but...

Thanks to Steve

Got the rails from Steve and they look great - easy to install - and my wife likes them. Thanks! By the way, I need to pick up an impact socket to remove / install my wheel nuts. It appears to be a 20mm socket - can someone confirm? Thanks. thetiger - I've seen your avatar - do you also frequent mil...

Thanks

Thanks, everyone - very helpful information - yes I was referring to reclining the middle seat back. The two outboard seats do recline a couple of clicks but if you are stuck in the middle you're almost sitting at a right angle!

NVSteve - PM Sent - Thanks!

General Questions about 2005 XE model

Folks - I have recently acquired a 2005 model XE and have a few questions: 1. Does the second row middle seat recline? 2. I was at the dealership getting some touch-up paint and since he had my VIN up I asked him how much $ for the step rails - he said that the step rails are not available for my ve...

New Pathfinder Owner - Greater Raleigh, NC area

Bought a used 2005 Pathfinder a few months ago and love the vehicle. My wife drives it - I'm not really a mechanic - so there won't be a lot of customization like the enthusiasts here. I really wanted to join the site for posting (and maybe answering!) general questions and soliciting advice about t...
