I'm hoping now that the R52 is a crossover that Nissan will at least keep the Xterra line a proper body-on-frame SUV and possibly even offer a three-row version for us R51 owners who need or want a replacement.

I can only hope we'll see a new Xterra come 2015. I kind of doubt Nissan will abandon ...

Nice wheel/tire combo! How's the road performance of Rugged Terrains? Need to replace my tires soon.

Thanks for the compliment. As I mentioned in the previous replies, I've had little time yet with my new wheels and tires for various reasons but so far I have no complaints. They feel just as ...

Re: My trusty old 05 finally gets new wheels and tires :D

Looks good. What else do you have planned?

What swayed you to stick with the R51? I was a passenger in the new Pathfinder last week. I already had 99 nails in that coffin, but my passenger ride added the final nail. Even the guy driving it was bitching about it being a pregnant Murano that got ...

Looks great!

Do you notice a difference in ride quality between the 17s and your old 15s?

Thanks! I haven't noticed any difference in ride quality at all compared to my old tire/wheel combo. Maybe just a tiny bit more road noise as I mentioned above but the ride and handling feel no different ...

Looks great, why has no one else commented on this yet?... Awesome upgrade and how do those tires ride? Any vibration or steering wheel shake, loud roar or any thing such, let us know. Good job!

Thanks for the comments. Couldn't reply earlier since I caught a bug and have been busy playing catch ...

My trusty old 05 finally gets new wheels and tires :D

Since I've firmly decided to keep my R51 and start doing some upgrades instead of getting an R52 I elected to start off with some snazzier wheels and tires and had them put on just today.

I got a set of Enkei ETS 17-inchers on closeout off Tire Rack and then decided to get BFGoodrich Rugged ...

That is cool lol! A friend and I were just joking about me getting the Stillen kit last week since I've finally decided to start modding my trusty old Pathfinder :)

If you don't mind my asking, what does it do to your gas mileage and tow capacity?

Just curious, but are you guys looking at performance mods running premium fuel? I normally don't because I'm doing about 25k miles a year and don't see any real mpg difference, but when I do switch to premium it's clearly a bump in power.

I did about 600 miles this weekend towing with premium ...

I'm so jealous! I wish I didn't have to fix something stupid on mine long enough to be able to spend some time and money on something fun. I can't stay ahead of this thing! :(

Don't worry, after three years I seem to have finally worked through all of the usual bugs. Just two more to go! :-D ...

There's not a lot, but there are some mods. Volant does make a nice CAI. Some have installed Gibson exhaust systems. There's a 1/2" plenum spacer that's made to fit between the intake manifold and the upper plenum. Some minor gains can be made through reprogramming, like Superchips and Bully Dog ...

Long-time owner but new to the forum!

Hello everyone! I'm a diehard Nissan fan and have owned several including my current sports car and a trusty 2005 Pathfinder SE 4x4 since it was new :)

It's been a great vehicle and I was looking forward to seeing what Nissan might do for the next generation but sadly the R52 is not really a fit ...

Hello! What performance mods are out there?

Hi everyone! I'm a newbie here but I've lurked for a while and have had my SE 4x4 since it was new in '05 and me and my friends and family have found it a most excellent companion :)

I was originally looking forward to replacing my trusted workhorse with an R52 but i found the new model less suited ...
