I've got a 12" JL Audio W3v3. It sounds great now that it's hooked up to a proper head-unit. I love it. It's in a simple pre-made box for right now, but the plan is to remove one half of the third row seats and build the box to sit flush with the floor in it's place. I just don't know if a 12&q...

Buzz... that tilt down feature is slick on the Kenwood, I wish my Pioneer did that. It would be nice to have some kind of small shroud avaiable for these setups. BTW, what model Nuvi is that? I was thinking of buying the 765t for mine.... The Garmin is the 755t. I had to modify the GPS mount in ord...

I just installed a Kenwood double-din, the DDX896, in my 05 SE with BOSE a couple of weeks ago and it works great. Has a ton of audio control from equalizer, to full speaker crossover control. I used this: http://www.google.com/#sclient=psy&hl=en&q=PAC+ROEM-NIS2&aq=f&aqi=&aql=&am...

The reason I painted the inside of the wheels is due to the previous paint. Once I had the wheels off the truck and cleaned off the years of built-up brake dust on the inside, I found the interior were painted silver like the exterior. I didn't want the insides to look different from the exterior of...

I didn't tape off the inside of the center bore hole, and I painted it with no problems of fitting back on the truck. I also sanded and painted the interior of the rim using a high-heat, flat black paint intended for bar-b-ques. I had a whole can left over from a previous project and it seemed to be...

I personally would recommend it, simply because it makes listening to music or anything else in the car a better experience. It also makes everything easier to use once you adjust to the changes. The built-in bluetooth is awesome for hands free and picks up a call in the car almost instantly. It wil...

I did take out the center caps, and also removed the chrome Nissan logo from them. Once you have the center caps off, it's pretty easy to snap out the chrome logo from the back side of the caps. Then I just did the same procedure as the wheels before putting the chrome logo back on. I like that idea...

That's a good idea. I tried something like that on one tire, but I was afraid of the paint beading up around the edge of the wheel at the cards and peeling off when I removed them. That's a very good point about the tires though. I scrubbed the wheels and the sidewalls of the tires thoroughly to mak...

Yeah, I used the PAC SWI-JACK to retain the factory steering wheel controls. I had read different reviews online saying that it was great for some but didn't work for others. People were reporting that it would give a long delay between pressing the button and the action. But it works great in the P...

I needed a day where I could put the truck up on jack stands and get all 4 wheels off at the same time, so that's why I waited until labor day and the extra day to work. I took all 4 wheels off, cleaned them as hard and best I could, sanded them down thoroughly with 400 grit, wet-dry sandpaper, and ...

Blacked Out Wheels

I’ve had this truck for around 2 years and ever since I first bought it, I thought it would look great with black rims. I looked around online, but never found any I really loved. I’ve seen a couple people around the forums with the XD Addict rims, which were my favorite that I saw, but I still coul...

Kenwood DDX896 Install in 2005 SE

I spent this weekend finally getting around to installing my new head unit. I have the factory BOSE stereo, which I still think is one of the best factory stereos out there, but I wanted something with more functionality and customization as well as better audio control. I wanted a double-DIN touchs...

If you don't mind, keep us updated with how the install goes. I'm in the exact same position. I have an 05 with the Bose headunit that I'm looking to replace with a Kenwood DDX896 in the near future. I've come across both types of wire harnesses as well and I'm at a loss to know which one to use. Do...

I recently purchased the Stebel Compact Truck horn with the idea of adding it to the existing stock horn. I'm having some trouble getting the wiring sorted out though. I wanted the new horn to only sound when I press the switch on the steering wheel and not when I lock the car and the stock horn bee...
