I'm assuming thats the whine. I've got a quote to replace the timing chains, guides, tensioners and water pump for 1750.00. Seems like a decent quote. The stealership quoted "maybe around 1500$" and another quoted 4200$$$ neither included a firm price and the water pump.

2006 Pathy bad timing chain?

So after reading on here a bit, I think I have the bad secondary timing chain. Here is a video I took. I'm hoping you guys can tell if this is the timing chain whine. I do know I need to replace the fan clutch.

Did your mpg improve? I'm in the same boat, and tired of the noise.

I am enjoying these brakes and rotors. They seem to be a nice upgrade for a decent price.

Thanks man, I was going to pay for another alignment, but I wasn't sure if this could cause bad tire wear. I don't think it's far enough out of alignment to be of concern. I'll monitor it.

So after getting the shocks, and new tires installed. I'm told my rear camber can't be adjusted anymore. I had to replace my last tires early due to cupping and outer tire wear. They were also unbearably loud Can you tell me if this alignment print out looks OK? I think it could be an issue. I'd lik...

No, funny enough I don't even use a Nissan dealership, but the dealership I use gets me Nissan parts for a lower cost than I can get.

Great advice, it looks easy enough. I'm going to have the dealership put on the shocks and struts, and get some Dueler A/T Revo 2's all around. After that, I'll save up a little cash and throw those airbags on! The only reason I'm using a dealership is because I get labor at 25$ an hour, and I can b...

Centric Brakes and Rotors

I tossed a set of these on over the weekend all around. My old ones weren't worn out, but I wanted better stopping. These things did the trick!! I hope they stay like this for some time. Other than beating the rotors off, the job was pretty straightforward. I'm loving the new smooth easy stopping.

I've read about folks on here loving them and the install looks pretty straight forward. I never tow anything. Would they still benefit me?

Shocks and struts R51

So this weekend I decided to replace my brakes and rotors all around. While I had the wheels off I noticed the outside metal on all of my shocks and struts were rusted pretty bad. After reading on here, I decided to replace them. I went with the Monroe Quickstrut 171103 on the front, and KYB 555057 ...

I got them in, but the only parts of the bracket that match up is the top screw, and the "tough to get to" plastic screw. They work perfect, but there isn't much holding the bottom to the bumper. So there may be a little wiggle in there. If they break or don't project onto the road good en...

Fog light install 2006 SE Pathfinder.

So I went ahead and ordered parts to add fog lights to my 2006 SE. The stalk came from Rockauto and went in perfectly. I ordered the lights and brackets from Amazon. The brackets don't seem to line up. They are off by a quarter inch or so. The lights work and are in place good enough. Could this be ...
