As easy as looking through the service manual in this forum.

Re: Cold air vs. Warm air

I like the first post there, but no one in that thread has yet pointed out the ethanol in winter gasoline mixes in most states that throw off the numbers. Other than that, cold air = more efficiency due to the higher delta between combustion temperature and ambient temperature. We've known this in ...

I understand what it is..... I wouldn't let it be with the basic kit..... I would end up buying all the bells and whistles with it..... When I went air ride on my Audi, I had custom air struts built from a company in Austria..... I get a little bit OCD on components and suspension parts... So I was...

The Air Lift system isn't an air bag only suspension system. It's an air bag that works with your existing suspension to help stiffen it up.

I think either way you go, you'll have to go to the dealer to have the new sensor sync'd with your system. And they'll charge you an arm and a leg for that.

Im intrested in the automatic hatch closing mechanism as well. Any update to finding out about that? What you're thinking about isn't what we're talking about. You have an 08, so you should already have it. It doesn't automatically raise/lower the rear hatch like in some minivans. We're talking abo...

Yep, I agree with your assessment. The pre-02s were the best as far as mixing off-roadability and comfort. Those 03-09 models were a total joke. Not much more than a RAV4 with extra room. My cousin bought a 2010 4Runner, but I haven't had a chance to look at it yet. I had a 91 4Runner before the 99....

2002 and previous 4Runners are the best. 2003 to 2009 not so great. 2010 we'll have to see? I don't know about that. I had a 99 Supercharged 4Runner 4x4 and my 08 Pathy kills it. I have more space for people and cargo. I'm much quicker. I can tow a hell of a lot more. I can come to a stop much more...

Your beach is very much different from what I'm used to. Doesn't even look like you need 4wd.

Not according to the service manual. It says the arrow goes in the direction of air flow.

Check the Service Manual at the top of the forum. Cabin filters are in the Maintenance section.

My speedo isn't that far off. It only reads about 1 mph higher than GPS at 60 mph.
