I gave up...

I tried fixing the leak over the weekend and was able to fix the lines near the exhaust. However, during that process the one on top of the spring perch started leaking as well. That one is a little harder to do, so I had the dealer fix it for $800! On top of that, the whining noise (timing c...

Re: knuckle bushing?

goblue90 (or anyone else w/ the same problem), I'm experiencing the same problem w/ the rear lower link bushing. I am in the process of ordering 2 new lower spring arm links but wanted to know if you also replaced the bushing in the knuckle (on the other side of the arm). If so, was this an easy re...

So I asked for quotes at a nearby "stealership" on how much to fix this issue. The quoted me $2,000 to replace both tensioner and chains. WTF  My question; Do you think its wise to have a local automotive repair shop fix this issue? I will supply them the genuine parts and just pay ...

Brake rotor/disk. WTF!!!

I changed my rotors a couple of months ago and just want to share with you guys/gals what I found when I took the rotors off. This is only on the back side of the rotors, hence the "surprise". 50% of the surface is rusted. What could've of caused this. I live in the North East and the last...

does anyone have any comments regarding these sources and/or parts. specifically, is the Beck Arnley any good?

thank you!
I think I bought Beck Arnley from Amazon for $70. So far it's good.
If the fan is loud, it's toasted.

How long did your OEM last?

It's got to be more to it than just the type of belt or is this normal being it's a serpentine?

update:

the belt started squealing again since I changed it last year (Jan 2010). I used a "Bando" brand. Now, I'm hearing two distinct squeal. This will be my third belt for a vehicle with 70K miles on the ODO.

I'll update with what I find.

UPDATE 10/19/10: Had my local mechanic cut out the corroded sections of pipe and replace with rubber tubing. When they got under there, it turned out that the pipes were also leaking in another location farther up the line from the problematic rubber piece. They ended up replacing about 3 feet on e...

How easy is it to replace the u-joints? I'm in the process of replacing mine as it vibrates around 70MPH. Thanks

The dealer said so and it was loud at start up. With this write-up, you can do a radiator replacement.

For the original poster and your radiator issues. I just replaced mine on a 2007 pathfinder, (@73K miles and also a 2006 Titan 72K miles) at the same time. It's a simple job and a ("KOYO" Lifetime warranty radiator) can be purchased for $200. PM me and I'll give you the rundown on doing t...
