Re: Which Fluids are best for a 2005 Pathfinder

I just turned 60k on my 05 Pathfinder and am looking to change all of my fluids. I'll get the Nisssan Matic S from the dealer, so that covers the ATF. Any recommendations on diff fluid, transfer case, coolant, etc? I plan on doing the tranny cooler bi-pass after Thanksgiving when I have some more f...

thanks for the tips fella's I was looking into these products and it looks like POR15 would be the easiest to apply, it appears no prep work is required for it, just paint it right onto the rusted areas ( as long as they are clean) I don't want to g and have to sand stuff, I would rather brush over ...

range is limited though... Some of the units out there get 1/2 a mile.

not much of an issue for me as most of the time I'm letting the pathy warm up in my driveway.

I also live in NE and have been noticing the same effects of all the salt on the roads. While it may not hurt anything aside from cosmetic standpoint, i find it a bit annoying. While sanding and priming as well as spending time and money to get rid of minor rust is not something I'm willing to do (...

For every nissan and infiniti I have owned, I have always used Akebono ceramic pads whenever I replace. I have been extremely pleased with them. great performance, minimal dust. I have tried Autozone duralast in the past, and they squeaked like crazy from the begining, not the case with the Akebono...

Thoughts on frame rust ?

What are the best ways to prevent frame rust/ fix ? I started looking at my under carriage by the spare tire area and I saw little spots of rust here and there on the frame and control arms. The car is in the NE and been outside most of its 44k life so its inevitable. What can I do to combat these s...

Are these on bot the front drivetrain and rear drivetrain? Total of 4 ?

Also I saw on another forum you need a press to compress the needle bearing to remove it from the assembly, are they sprung ?

I just did this, with out a coupler or vacuum caps. Took the shorter hose from the pass side of the radiator and connected to where the longer hose connects from the tranny line. Then I jumper the longer hose to the other side of the radiator. Didn't have to buy anything and didn't spill anything. C...

DIY: 2006 Nav AUX input.

I have an 06 with Nav and I want to add an Ipod Auxilary JAck. I don't have the rear DVD entertainment system in the car so I have a lonely button that has REAR AV that I wanted to leverage. Keep in mind I have not done this yet, but based on all the threads here , I think it is very possible and fa...
