Thanks- is there any way to tell visually if the car has them or not on the SE models ? It looks like it was a $700 standalone option in the US versions so when I shop I need to make sure I pick one that has the side airbags - need to know how I can confirm if it has it.

Side airbags - only available on the LE models?

I was looking at used pathfinders and I seems like only the LE's came with side curtain airbags ? Is this true ?

wtb: 2006+ R51 Pathfinder with 4x4

Anyone selling an r51 ? Let me know I am in the market. I prefer the LE with b/c auto mode 4wd and side airbags.

Thanks

anyone dealt with Nissan of North Plainfield? I am very hesitant to go near Hillside Route 22 Nissan, even though they seem to have a hoard of pre-owned pathfinders. They list all the prices in on their website as requiring financing through the dealer which is BS after you account for the amount of...

Does anyone know of a build date correlation to this problem ? Are there any late 06's or 07+ that have experienced this ? It seems that most more or less around 50k miles and so far only 05's and 06's. The one I will be buying has a 1/06 build date.

the cooler is not shown in that picture. it's located infront off the condenser. if you pop the hood on your path a look to the left behind the grill you will see it. the procedure is to connect two of the lines together. the one that goes to the driver side on the bottom of the rad to the one on t...

Is this system only good for folks who tow with the pathy? Any reason to get it if I don't haul trailers etc around ? Sounds like an easy to install mod.

Yes I would say it makes sense to do the modification right off the bat, though I guess it depends on what year your truck is. I haven't heard of any 06+ having the transmission problem but that could very well be because it just hasn't had enough time to develop yet. Better safe than sorry, I did ...

Is this a common failure with all r51 pathy's ? does it make sense to just do this modification from the get go ?

Captain Caveman & The_David, Thanks for the responses! I still am inclined to get an LE, but I guess an SE w/4x4 would be acceptable. I've been through a lot recently and the utmost safety is the key for me, so I think I will still try to hold out for an LE, unless I get a good deal on an SE. Pr...

Question - Full time AWD vs standard 4wd

I am shopping around for a 2005+ pathfinder and I am drawn to the LE model b/c of the full time awd drive mode. Problem is that there are few LE's around that are nearby. I like the idea of set it and forget it for the auto mode, so that I don't have to worry about it when it rains etc. Is it a wort...
