thanks guys. Nothing like murphy's law to hit you in the face. If only this could have happened when I was home and not traveling for work. the bright side, no body was stranded for very long or hurt either.

Was that related to the IPDM relay? I know they replaced the IPDM under the recall notice last year. it probably is, but here's the info from Nissan: http://www.nissanassist.com/web/ECMRelay/index.php?menu=40 have you checked the fuses, both in the dash and beneath the hood? I know the battery is n...

Need some help, pahtfinder died on the road, gauges gone.

My wife took the car and on the way home lost all the gauges and lights. The car started driving funny and would not move well. Subsequently we replaced the battery thinking that was the issue ( still on the OEM one at 94k miles). We got the car running After sitting overnight the car will not start...

for what it is worth I have used akebono ceramics in the past on my other nissan/infiniti cars and I liked them a lot. They have an OEM feel with considerably much less dust. On the other hand I have no complaints on the OEM brakes on the pathfinder, I might just stick to them for brake job.

Not trying to be an a$$, but I don't think I've ever used my park brake. Maybe because we are on such flat land here, I can watch my dog run away for 3 days! But seriously, with park on the trans, what does one need the park brake for? And for clarification, it is just that, not an emergency brake....

haha, I just posted above this thread, asking the same question. I have 84k miles and the brakes feel good as new. No warping of rotors, no vibration at all.

Ok Seriously, when will I need to change my brakes?

I have 84k miles on my truck (2006 LE) and the brakes are original from factory. I don't have any braking issues, no vibration, rotor warping , etc. Visual inspection of the brakes shows that the pads have pretty good life left. How long do these brakes typically go for? not that I want ot change th...

In terms of driving, would this be difficult if I had to reverse it up into a driveway? Am I better off just keeping it in the street? My driveway is not very steep, but definitely not level. My move is within a 20mile radius, there are relative who are helping me with storing my stuff. so I will be...
