also it seems if you are turning (like a U turn on a one way street) it is slower or require more power.. First things first. You need to get out in the dirt. Even a small patch of dirt road will work, but that's when you can pop it into 4x4 and have at it. You can still feel the binding a bit in t...

low end feels great. with better piping the air flow is a lot better and makes accelerating even better. (fun also) I also notice my gas mileage somewhat has improved. I will have to monitor that and report my findings. By all means, post your findings if the mpg has improved. Nice looking setup, b...

Hi Steve, the eforecourt mpg/L conversion site has a switch in the middle that changes it for use with Imperial or US gallons. I couldn't tell you how many times I plugged in numbers & SWEAR I chose the US measure, but obviously not. So now I'm banging my head against the wall. All I can say is...

Here's the conversion site that I use Steve; http://www.eforecourt.com/l_100km_mpg_convert.htm Thanks for the link. I plugged in the 9.4l/100km you gave and came up with 30.05mpg. I then plugged in 30.05mpg and came up with 7.83l/100km. Then I went to this site: http://home.comcast.net/~plutarch/mp...

Are you sure that your conversion calculations are on the money? Those numbers are extremely high-probably the highest I have seen posted from any of the Pathfinder sites-US, Australia, Germany, etc.

is 1.75" lift a lot? any other lift besides Calmini that does a higher lift? It isn't a lot of lift, but I believe (in my case) that it will afford me with a better ride overall, no more bottoming out of the rear, and that much more needed clearance to help up the few roads that have so far st...

well on the V8s we have 18" rims. it's nice but If I was gonna get a set only for going off road, should I get some 15" with big tires ? The only thing the 15" allow over the 16" are the selection of tires. You can get some monster tires on 15" wheels, but no so large on 16...

thanks
Nothing wrong with the stock 16 or 17", with 31"+ of height. 15" would give you the most flotation, but 16 & 17" are a nice compromise. I prefer 16" wheels myself.

Re: upgrading wheels. whats the largest size possible?

3. my Path is 4x4. do I have to get 4x4 specific rims or any wheel size that fit is okay? 4. I was thinking of 20's or 22's. If you use 4x4 off road, or intend to do so at some point, you will not want 20 or 22" wheels. It would be fine if you pop it into 4x4 on a snowy stretch of road with wh...

I can't figure out what's going on. My overall mileage for just over 7000 miles is 17.6mpg. The best I got was 20.5 driving on the freeway at 85, with a fully loaded rear & 2 kayaks on top to boot. The times I think the mileage will be good, it doesn't meet my expectations. The times I think it ...

Yeah, the first time I was in Iceland, I saw trucks all over the place that were between US lifted trucks and monster trucks. I was really impressed, especially with all the great body modifications they do for the wider/taller tires. I even stopped in one of the shops to talk to them about their wo...

So, after being rear ended less than a block away, I finally made it into a 4x4 shop and had my OME installed today. Looks pretty good. I expected more space under the wheel wells, but it came out just right, with little noticable rake. I only drove it home from there, on a combination of freeway &a...

front bumper seems beefier than my coworker's 2006 PF. Not sure about the front, but the rear bumper on the '05-'07 works well. Some A-hole rear ended me at a red light today on my way to my OME installation. I just have a minor scuff on the plastic which I may be able to buff out a bit. I thought ...
