Sorry for the confusion. All i am saying is that when i remove the "AMP" on mine, the Bose system doesn't work. I would assume that you need the AMP to make the Bose Head unit work. The AMP seems to be amplifying all speakers including the rear Bass. Good luck.. Not sure that the Xterra ha...

I always thought that was the "bass" amp only. I will disconnect and see if indeed its for all speakers.

I replaced my Bose HU with an eclipse nav/dvd unit. And i find that the speaker levels are really high. So i open the door panel, trying to find the "Bose" speaker and amp. But all i found was the 6X9 bose speaker.. but no Bose Amp attached to it. Does anybody has a location for the "...

Well, my wife would say i have issues... but... got my first one.. 2X2..06 and i wanted a 4x4. that became an 07 so that is two of them there. but the 4x4 was loaded LE with all goodies.. so.. it became too expensive for me after a while. i tried a smaller FX45 to see if that was what we needed..
