The Pain Clinic- This is what I expereinced: 2" lift with factory tires did not affect fuel mileage at all but the addition of the roof cargo basket dropped my avg fuel performance almost exactly 1mpg. For me, the biggest impact on fuel performance has been towing. When towing a 16' boat my avg...

Akley- yes. The ones posted here and the ones commonly available all attach to the factory cross rails.

Here are pics of mine with a Rhino Rack xTray Large. It works well and the quality is nice for the price. As it turns out it will not do everything that I need the rack to do. I wanted to purchase the BajaRack that is custom built for the Pathfinder and completely replaces the factory rails and cros...

MLEACH87- Glad my post helped out. Posting the build along the way including the mistake was one of those questions about pride. Do I edit that mistake out or take one for the team and hope it helps someone down the road. Glad I opted for swallowing my pride and posting it as it was along with the c...

Nmex Max- Now you have hit the nail on the head! I continue to research the idea put forward in that thread. I honestly do not see myself ever needing to do a full SAS in the front and rear of my Path, but a solid rear would be really nice. Pair that with a Titan swapped front end and I think the tr...

Ackley- So what are you thinking about as far as gearing? If you are jumping into 37' tires that is going to require more gear than we have available. I don't think a 3.36 would get the job done. Are thinking of going to an M205 in the front and adding something like a 4.10 gear? I don't remember wh...

Akley- I re-read through this post again and after looking at the pics you posted of your truck on the first page you had me thinking about the stance of your truck. I have been reading through tons of info on the Titan/Armada swaps vs doing say a rear SAS. From what I recall, the Titan swap adds ab...

Thanks for the quick reply. I have a similar lift as you, although I went the Bilstein route vs the Rancho. I am waiting to finish wearing out the tread on my factory Radial Long Trails and then move to a set of 33" tires. Toyo Open Country is on the list as well as Goodyear Silent Armor and BF...

Nice job. I had the Toyo Open Country tires on an old full sized Jeep Cherokee. They were nice tires.

At 32.8" overall diameter, do you have any fitment or rubbing issues while turning or articulating the suspension?

I haven't looked at the service manual to see what is recommended by Nissan, but I know VW recommends full brake fluid change every 2 years. While the system is a sealed system, brake fluid is hygroscopic, meaning, it likes water or readily absorbs water. Every time you open the lid on the brake flu...

Thanks Staynlean. I don't figure many people ask about going to smaller sized wheels, as the regular trend is to upsize the wheel. But it will likely let me buy two complete sets of black soft 8s. One set for my truck and one set for the expedition trailer I am starting to build. That will help me k...

Just picked up a pair locally. Here is what I did (not a joke). I looked around at the cars that people drive in the same places that I frequent. I happened to notice one family that I ran into regularly drove the same body style Pathfinder. Theirs was equipped with the cross rails. I approached the...
