Congrats on the new truck. I have the V8 and love it. Besides the gas mileage, I don't have any negatives to say about the V8. I've got the fastest SUV in my family and I whooped my cousin with his g37 recently. I love speed and am currently modding the truck to get more power. Most of the guys on t...
Hi all, I searched but couldn't find the answer. Does anyone know which wire is the horn wire on the inside of the cabin? I just got an alarm installed and the shop didn't connect the car horn to it. It seems like one wire from the alarm brain needs to be connected to trigger the car horn. I wanted ...
I just got the 5901 installed. Searching for the right dealer was interesting. I called about 5 or 6 to get quotes and info. Since my Path has an intelligent key, I needed a module for the auto start (i knew that after researching on viper's site). One dealer said I would have to leave a key in the ...
I just finished my LED conversion. Turn signals (white/amber switchback for the front), reverse lights, license plate, interior; all white. Pictures coming soon. I'm think about doing something like the Audi LED's for the front. Just not sure where I would put it. If anyone has an opinion, I'd love ...
The tail lights were a breeze. They're plug & play. I got them off of ebay (link below). I never heard of the cruise control issue, but I'll try that today. The tail lights have the three bulb wires (brake, turn, reverse) coming together to one roll which then goes through a rubber grommet and e...
Thanks. The lights are wired to one of the two cigarette lighters by the radio, the one that comes on with the car (the other one is always on). The light's always on with ACC. I was going to wire a shutoff switch, but got lazy. The lights are from Autozone (two pack with six LEDs each, as you can s...
Since the last topic I've added some small items. Just thought I'd share. Original pedals http://a1video.smugmug.com/photos/526061744_sAMNu-S.jpg In progress http://a1video.smugmug.com/photos/526061629_6DvzH-S.jpg Finished (parking brake is a little twisted, will fix eventually) http://a1video.smugm...
mine has a sunroof. It makes locating and installing much easier. I was never able to take down the liner, I just dropped it enough to see where the mount was. you don't need to cut a huge hole, just holes for the cables and holes to see the mounting holes (which makes it easier to mount the dvd). o...
Base9se, yes, it does block the view. I only put it down after I start driving, so looking back isn't totally necessary, and put it up before I park. If you have a front screen, you could hookup a reverse camera with the dvd bypass.
Dunsho, since you have a backup camera, you wouldn't need to use the 2nd input of the converter. I also have a factory backup camera and didn't use the 2nd input. I can't remember if the backup shows even when the converter is switched on, but you can easily switch it off for a few seconds when reve...
Installing the bypass was pretty simple. Behind and on top of the screen has the harness which plugs into the nav bypass. You unplug the oem harness, plug it into the bypass and then plug the other bypass harness into the screen. The bypass unit has a prewired switch, power, ground, hand brake (nega...
