Just an update on the suspension now i've done around 1000miles on it and to answer some of the requests about how it handles off road. I'm still really pleased with the upgrade, it feels slightly softer now than when I first had it fitted but I suppose thats just everything bedding in and loosening...

Took the Pathfinder away this weekend to test the OME suspension and went to a place called the Liwa Oasis. This is an area near the border between the UAE and Saudi Arabia and consists of huge sand dunes and areas of sabkha which is a sort of very rutted salt flat. The OME suspension was absolutely...

Well I took out both fuses, 13 and 14 but unfortunately number 14 also controls some other things including locking the gearbox in park, so it has to be left in. Number 13 seemed to disable the airbags on its own though and the red 'airbag off' light lit up on the dashboard. Unfortunately I managed ...

I've just had the OME suspension upgrade done. I went for exactly the same set up as blink (OME 607 & 609 Springs + N183S & N184 Struts) but i'm currently still running the stock tires. First impressions are great, the ride is definitely firmer but not as much as I imagined and its a lot mor...

Possible to Disable Pathfinder Airbags??

I was wondering if anybody knows whether its possible to disable the airbags on the Pathy for off-roading. I've spoken to my local dealer about it but they wouldn't give me an answer. Looking in the service manuals it seems as simple as just pulling the relevant fuse (Number 13 I think) but i'm relu...

Yes, its an EU law that headlamp washers are fitted but I can't see why you'd need them. They're usually pretty ineffective.

I've just received this e-mail back from a UK dealer I asked about retrofittting HID lights: " I am told by my service department that the cost of retrofit is prohibitive as it involves replacing most of the cars ecu etc, with regard to the question of the headlamps in Europe I am still waiting...

HID Lights from the UK

This was being discussed on the OME suspension thread but as NV Steve pointed out we were probably drifting OT. I've looked into the suitability of UK spec HID lights for the US and apparently European Legislation states that all HID lights sold there have to be adaptable for use driving on the righ...

Over in the UAE do you drive on the Right or the Left hand side? I'm pretty sure its the Right like in Saudi. And if it is on hte right do you happen to have the Xenon/HID lights? In the US they weren't an option and some of us here are extremely interested in finding out what parts we need to retr...

New Member - Hi Everyone

Hi there, I've just joined up and wanted to say what a great site!! Everyone seems really helpful and there's tons of useful information. I'm from the UK (North Yorkshire) but I'm currently working out in the middle east in Dubai. There's plenty of Pathfinders out here but most of the shops are gear...

You could remove the front guard deal. I'm pretty sure it's not rubbing on the actual mud flap (the one on the rear of the front wheel wells), it rubs on the outer edges of the small piece mounted below the front bumper. Lower air dam I guess this is. Either way it BARELY catches and it would be ea...

If I were to do it all over again, I'd try one size smaller to eliminate a minor rubbing issue I still have. The fronts barely catch the front mud flap bumper gaurd dealie during certain turns. I'm not sure if I'm going to deal with it or trim teh gaurds later. Hi Blink, I'm keen to get the same se...
