Gaging Interest... '07 R51 Parts

Considering parting out my R51 in the next week or 2. XD 798 18" Addicts w/ 285/65 18 Nitto Trail Grapplers, JL Stealthbox w/ 10W3-V3 sub, Rancho Quick Lift (loaded front spring & strut), Air Lift rear suspension. Tires and suspension have about 11,000-13,000 miles on them. I'm just testing...

I'll join the creaking crowd. Yesterday noticed I have the creaking as well. Long creaking noise while going slower over bumps and uneven pavement, or turning. Sounds like an old pirate ship as described above. Sprayed silicone at every visible bushing and pivoting point I can see while under the fr...

Tires were BFG All Terrains with 1/3 of tread left. Am going in for new tires soon to see if this resolves the issue. Traction control was not kicking in when this happened. In fact, it would happen even when foot was off the gas pedal and just coasting.

Rear Sway Bar Bushings?

Had the Pathfinder out in snow and icy conditions up north. On slick, icy roads, the rear end wants to get squirly at moderate speeds (2wd & 4wd). Pretty much anything over 30-40 mph. It's bad and to the point where it just starts to fish tail uncontrollably. My buddies X-Terra doesn't do it whe...

2005 2006 2007 OEM Headlights R51 $150

Selling a pair or OEM headlights from an '07. Some hazing on the lens, but no scratches, dings, or cracks. Nothing a light cleaning with a 3M or Mothers headlight kit can't take care of. I was going to use these for a D2S HID conversion, but just don't have the time for the project. Includes all bul...

Any updates on this one? My wife just told me she was experiencing the same thing on her '07. I checked the coolant level and both main and expansion reservoirs are full and above minimum. My guess is the thermostat.

Can't say every Nissan dealership is like that. I don't know. He was willing to sell me the OEM brake pads that weren't exactly cheap. I appreciated the honesty at the time, but that turned out to be such a headache!

I'd take them back and get a refund. +1 i'm not fond of surprises stick with OEM for brake parts at least you know what you're getting.......... Well... I started out with OEM pads the first time around. When I was at the dealership purchasing them, I talked to the service guy and he said "I'l...

Final Update:

Well... after countless tear-downs and multiple combinations of possible solutions. I finally have this damn thing figured out. What I tried: New pads. New caliper shims. Napa VRC red isolation paste. Scraped off all the VRC paste and put on anti-seize at all metal to metal contact points. Removed p...

R51 Pads & Rotors

I have an almost new set of front/rear pads and a used set of front/rear rotors for an '05+ PF for sale. The pads are Nissan OEM with a weeks worth of use on them... maybe 200 miles at most. They were around $175 for the set. The rotors are the original factory set and spec out as follows: Front Lef...

Got it... thanks again. A couple things I noticed: I put grease (the red Napa VRC) on the outside of the pad shim where it contacts the caliper and on the other pad shim where it contacts the pistons. Could be where I missed applying between the shim and pad? Also, does anyone actually use those spr...

Can you link to the service manual you are talking about? The one I found only has 8 pages and no troubleshooting section.

Took some brake cleaner to them a couple days after the squeal started. No luck. I'm not sure they have been broken in improperly. I can say that they have not been hammered down on in an emergency or panic stop though.

Thanks,
Rider
