Thanks for the replies. I'm sure I'm over 4000# loaded, and I believe my hitch weight is a bit heavy, probably over 600#. However I'm using a weight distribution hitch and sway control. I've noticed on some hills this thing does struggle a bit but I expected that.

Going to be towing a decent amount this summer, each trip probably a couple hundred miles or so. Is it safe to do so for towing? Is there enough cooling for the transmission after the bypass?

I took mine out for a ride this weekend to get a feel of it before we hit the open road. Mine is a 2011 Jayco Jay Feather X19H. Did you check the exhaust heat shields? I had a similar problem and noticed the stock clamps rusted off.
