Re: Front cabin & centre cabin light switches in centre position, but no lights

Thanks, smj, I'll try the contact cleaning as a first thing, as I don't have a clue how to do a continuity test.

Front cabin & centre cabin light switches in centre position, but no lights

I'm wondering what the problem is. Those lights don't come on when I open the doors, however the tailgate light does illuminate, and it too is in the central position. Anyone know what's going on? (I've tried those switches in the On-position, and they illuminate, so I'm thinking it can't be the bul...

Re: Quantities of oils & fluids -- clarification needed

The manual, yes, I've checked, but no specs on brake fluid, power steering fluid, or ATF (only quantifies coolant and fuel). I really need this info, as I've told the indy garage I'll supply the stuff, so without knowing these quantities, I'm stuck. (The garage has quoted me a much higher price for ...

Quantities of oils & fluids -- clarification needed

Hi folks, Noob here, and my last post was 2 years ago. I'll soon get an indy garage to replace the fluids/oils in my 2007 Pathfinder (It's a Diesel 4WD 2.5.). What are the quantities of oil/fluid needed for the following?: 1) Engine oil 2) Power steering 3) Automatic transmission 4) Brake fluid Also...

Rear spring needed on my 4WD, but which one will fit my car?

My dealer says my left spring at the rear of my 4WD Pathy Diesel 2.5 (2007 R51) is toast. Which spring do I choose of these from the list? Link attached: https://www.autodoc.co.uk/spares-search?keyword=55020EB31A Guidance really needed for this newb, so I'll know which one to order. Are there any te...

Most likely the FOB battery is dead or dying. Mine did the same thing and I had the same thought, but then decided to change the battery and it worked just fine. Just pop it open carefully and replace. IIRC it's a CR2025. Hey Nmex, Cheers for the heads-up info. This red key light started flashing o...

Keyfob battery question

The key symbol on my Pathy's dashboard keeps flashing red. I'm a newbie to this car. Does it mean that I have to replace the fob's battery?

Or is this battery to fob communication that something is wrong?

Baffled here...advice appreciated...

Question about key on fob -- flat battery

It's dark out, and so I won't be able to see my Pathfinder until tomorrow. Just want to be prepared before that: Does one pop out the emergency key cover on the driver's door from the side (next to the door handle), or from below that point? Also, does it slide out, or do I have to pry it with a scr...

Thanks very much, sm, for all that detailed info. I have a few follow-up questions, re the fact that those eccentric bolts are frozen in there. Earlier, you said: "...after cutting the eccentric bolts out...you will also need the control arms and the straight bolts for the front bushing of the ...

The front eccentric bolts are the same part numbers as the rear. There are two, lower links on each side of the rear suspension: a front link and a rear link. The front, rear suspension link has a regular bolt in the front and an eccentric assy. in the rear. The rear, rear suspension link has one e...

Four of each part will replace all of the bolts that attach both controls arms to the frame. I have a question about this -- for this precise part number (54580-7S000), the Nissan page says only 2 bolts are needed. Here's what it says: 55080-7S010 Bolt-Link, Rear Suspension VQ40DE, VQ40DE + VK56DE ...

Rear eccentric bolts

I had an all 4 wheel alignment done recently. Apparently, the rear eccentric bolts need replacing since they are rusted in and couldn't be removed -- so my local garage tells me. The rear wheel alignment wasn't totally successful therefore. My questions are: 1) Anybody know the part number for these...

Update: info needed. The front ABS-sensor cable was replaced today. However, this has not solved the problem (ABS light, non-slip, and 4WD lights are all on all the time.) The indy garage says the other part of the harness (where is that exactly located?) may be the problem. Some questions before I ...

Snow will be here soon, and I need to make an online order for studded tyres (the Nokian Hakapeliittas), but can't until I know definitively about the wheels' compatibility, so I'm scratching my head. I've looked at tables online, and Googled for help, but find it difficult to read some of the jargo...

Wheel & tyre set compatibility?

Hi all,

Is this wheel and tyre set compatible for my 2007 Pathy?

7Jx16.0 ALCAR LK 6/114.3 ET 30.

Nokian Hakkapeliitta 5 SUV 255/65 R17.

I'm just wondering because my manual says I have "17x7JJ".

If anyone can clarify, I'd be very appreciative.

Cheers in advance,
SV
