The looseness in the fan could be due to a bad fan bracket assembly; sometimes the bearing will fail and cause play in the shaft, causing the fan to wobble. There have been some issues with aftermarket versions of the fan bracket, so still with genuine Nissan parts.

Is a symptom of this fan clutch going bad that your fan will appear "loose" i.e. you can grasp it and wiggle it about 1" at the ends of the blades?
