Knocking noise from AC compressor

Not sure if this should be on this forum but here goes. When I use my Aircon, after a few minutes I'll get a knocking noise, maybe 15 -20 bangs from the back of the glove box. This stops, doesn't seem to affect its performance but, once I've stopped the car, after a while it happens again. Any clues...

Front door lock

High all I'm having to replace the actuator , lock for my driver's side door. I've seen videos online on how to remove the door handle but just can't get it out! So doesn't anyone know the steps involved in replacing the door lock for the front door? Back doors were easy but I assume you have to get...

Does the R51 auto lock

Hi,
I've noticed that once I've unlocked the car with the remote, after a few minutes the car locks itself. I'm not sure this has always done it so I'm kinda thinking I've hit the unlock or lock button a few too many times to enable it.

Can I deactivate this?

cheers

Re: a little update

So, with the headliner out, I think I can get to every screw to be able to put a nut on it. However, the very back fixing is a little tight so I thought I'd run down the the local Nissan dealer here to see if they have the expansion nut...... They do. 22.50 Euros each, plus tax!!! 50 euros for two ...

Thought I'd revisit this thread today as I've had so many issues wth the back doors which has today resulted in neither rear door openable using the outside handles. I have already replaced the handle on the passenger side. The little plastic rod that forces the mechanism open was broken. On the rep...

Not sure if this helps. Pulled the images from a parts diagram and Amazon :) https://i.ibb.co/Yc6thqF/71xcr-L4-V77-L-SX679.jpg https://i.ibb.co/xmMFzdL/013-R51-0000000354.jpg Of course it does!!! Amazing thanks. Been looking at Expansion nuts online but that diagram has the Nissan part number on it!

Roof Rails

I've bought a set of second hand roof rails off ebay and I've started the process of installing them. I've had a quick look on here and there isnt much info on the process. I've taken the headliner out. ( The cloth was detached from the headliner in a way that would have been impossible to reattach ...

Well, there are obviously a number of things that can cause this. A failing camshaft position sensor or crank position sensor is a common issue that can cause this. "Usually," but not "always," it will trigger a code, so, I would have your Pathy checked for stored codes first. I...

Power Loss after idle.

Hi Guys and Girls I've a puzzling issue with my R51. I was driving home a few evenings ago and I stopped to speak to a neighbour for a few minutes with the engine running. We said our goodbyes and, when I pulled away, the car flet very sluggish and, when I put my foot on the gas, it made no differen...

Thanks for the replies guys. The inside handle was working and I think the little bit of plastic was stopping the child lock slipping. I dont think the feel of it has changed. I'm going to take the panel out tomorrow, hopefully!! I'm guessing it will come out with the door closed. If I need to I'll ...
