Just got the new sway bar bushings from Detroit axle installed. They appear better than the stock and were very cheap. Lets see how the hold with the Armada springs.

Re: body lift install cost

Touchdown, about how much did it cost to have your body lift installed? Love your rig. My fav by far! Yes, how much. How long. Any details you can provide. Recently I got quote of $4000 just for labor to redo the entire rear ac line, because the body has to be lifted from the frame. This made me th...

What did you guys do? I have rear AC leak. I am told blocking off Rear AC is only feasible solution, since replacing entire line is only real fix and is very difficult to do. Anyone can help? 96 degrees and I am melting. Will the block off still get the car cool in the rear? Did anyone do the line r...

Okay. Leaking now. Pretty bad. I put some freon in and could hear it hissing out underneath the 2nd row passengers seat - under the heat shield. My mechanic suggested blocking the rear lines off since he said any repairs will only be temporary- as other leaks will occur through out the full length. ...

I had a similar issue on different car. Wd40 the heck out of the transmission linkage in the front (the part that you see move to put car in gear) sorry not sure about name. But that fixed the problem forever for me.
Not sure how safe but it worked for me.

[quote="the art guy"]Hey everyone - I'm new to this forum. Have owned many unusual cars over the years, but my only real truck experience was a couple Jeep XJs. Just picked up this '06 SE and am trying to do some learning. Love it so far! My only immediate plans are wheels & tires. I w...

I stayed with the stock size = 265/65 17 SMJ ... pointed out last year when I started shopping for tires, that if I change my tire size, there could be issues when I use my spare tire. I made an appointment with Mavis Discount Tire near me. Got a price quote of $120+tax to get my tires mounted, bal...

I'd say 400-600? Or anything you'd recommend. I feel like there is a diminishing point if return when it comes to shelling out a lot for what you want. I just want something practical and quality without breaking the bank. I appreciate you're reply and further guidance. For around $500 Coil spacer ...

Does the 4runner have third row seating? I think it is available on some 4runner models but pretty standard on the pathfinder. Also Is the 4 runner solid rear axle?

If your okay with unibody - with more room- Honda Pilot ?

Topic: Rack and pinion boot - with few rips - repairable?

Well, first of all, that's not a rack and pinion; that's a lower steering shaft joint assembly. With the boot being ripped, it's very possible that the joint inside is binding, which would explain the hard steering. So, you likely need to replace the lower joint assembly, which is probably only ava...
