New pathfinder - start keyless with manual key

Hi I have just bought a pathfinder aventura 56 plate and it has one fob. I have 2 questions.

I know how to open the doors if the fob battery dies, however what I am not sure of is how to start the car with the manual key. The car doesn't have a starter button but more of a bar which you turn to ...
