Have a beautiful '96 PF.
I've heard that the Max Size Tyres you can run on a PF is 31's (because of the strut being in the way).
So now I'm running 31x10.5xR15 Falken Wildpeaks ATs. And they just scrub the strut. I have only 1-2mm clearance, MAX.
Funny thing is, I recall there being MORE ...

Wheel Spacers
Wheel Spacers are illegal in Australia. But If you want to put tyres bigger than 31's, you'll need at least a 2" spacer to clear the strut
