I just rolled over 286k miles. I came back to the forum just to see and forgot I had actually posted something so long ago.
How cool is that! 8)
Let's hope that in the next 8 years you will make more posts than in the previous ones..

Re: Wading depth?

I expect the R51 diff to be a carbon copy of the Xterras non locking diff.
The Xterra guys say the diff is the weak spot for wading because the breather element sits really low.

I will do the rear diff breather mod on my my vehicles when I am back in US>

How long to keep a stock radiator?

I have one of the "good" partnumbers.
But I am all about reliability.
Am at 148,000 miles and both me and the previous owner have been heavy on hiway miles.

Leave it in until it breaks.?
Or what about a prophylactic replacement.
Will be back in USA by end of year and would do it then I guess.

Wading depth?

Do we have a published wading depth?

I know its not good for the diffs and the alternator.. but a lot of proper 4WD have a wading depth published.
For example the range rovers usually are at 600 mm

Re: New Shoes - Mastercraft Courser AXT

My Hankook Dynapro ATM2 after 2 years and 20,000 miles are still smooth and quiet.
However of course they are a fairly "mild" tread pattern as far as AT rated tires go.

That's a pretty rare occurrence on the R51's.
That's good to hear.
I heard about it on the Xterra forums and I was getting concerned since its same powertrain..
also conversely if its rare on R51 that means its also rare on Frontier and on Xterra.

Re: Any high mileage R51's out there with little problems?

Glad to hear you got her thru so many miles! :D

I always worry about the cats.. if the front ones go they could spout particles into the engine and ruin it..
So I am toying the idea of punching them out myself.
Of course I am only at 148,000

Oh, and welcome to ThePath!!!
