Re: V8

Thought the radiator milkshake issue was solely a V6 problem, no? The V8s are just more rare so it never got visbility with them. When I bought my 2008 V8 a new radiator went in within days. :) PS: If there was a time capsule 2008 V8 , 4x4 in minto condtions I'd likely buy it despite havnet recnetl...

Re: Calling VStar650 or other engine Gurus

The VVEL on your engine controls the intake valves, but the exhaust still uses traditional hydraulic phasers (EVT). Nissan phasers in general are fairly sensitive to viscosity, and IVT/EVT codes are pretty common in cold weather when people use very thick oil. I think the thickest any recent domest...

Re: Calling VStar650 or other engine Gurus

I assume this is your new Armadillo we're talking about. The half quart over isn't any big worry on a VK, but the 5W40 will void your engine warranty and is likely to cause EVT codes in cold weather. Yes. Thanks for the quick reply :) I was kinda worried about that what it would do if I was half a ...

Calling VStar650 or other engine Gurus

Sooo... Just had my first oil change in Germany on my bearly brand new vehicle. VK56VD motor. I gave it a 1000 mile oil change with 0w-20 and now 4000 miles later with 5w-40 which will likely remain its lifetime fill. They were not used to the VK56VD though and may have overfilled it. They charged m...

I am sorry no one has gotten to your question yet. The folks who can help with R50 are getting fewer every year. :|

Re: SIEMED Fog Lights - I like them

Well Finally replaced my fog lights. I know this thread is old but, wanted to chime in for future users. These bulbs are a fantastic fitment to the Pathfinder and certainly light up the road way better. I had a Fog light go out and instead of just putting a bulb in the old, rock pitted fixture, I d...
