Re: 2017 on the beach

Anyone driving the ‘17 on the beach? We had a good time driving our 07 dodge nitro on the beach and we just traded it in for a ‘17. Hopefully we can have just as much fun with it in the Outer Banks. I would love to hear that it will do just fine. We see folks in foresters all the time so I am thing...

Re: Nissan Xterra Coming Back

Have y'all noticed the new Ariya isn't even out yet? That was supposed to be last spring, then fall, then... Same old supply chain, chips and plastic. It's getting worse and not better. The supplier for the primary chip I use in my widget side-business is only running die for it once a year, so aro...

Re: Today I put 6 year old gasoline into my Nissan

Only you would have NATO spec jerry cans laying around. I love it. Well, this long term storage only works in truly hermetically sealed cans. Military spec cans have that seal so you cna throw them in the back of avehicle and not worry how they land and not spill fuel. When I ordered these fi...

Today I put 6 year old gasoline into my Nissan

What, is he crazy? Bear with me: I had it stored in a hermetically sealed high end jerry Can ( the real NATO spec Wavian ) So no light fractions could escape. https://www.roverparts.com/off-road-accessories/jerry-cans/GJC20/ I filled it with ethanol free high octane fuel and topped it off with a dou...

Re: P0420/P0430 diagnostics

Here is a search result, If you have emissions testing in your jurisdiction I would look for "CARB compliant" options , front cats. Also if its a cali vehicle I understand the ecu may expect to see cali cats and throw a code if not. however i am not 100% on that perhaps Vstar or SMJ could ...

Re: P0420/P0430 diagnostics

DIY-able if you have good tools and good skills… My go-to is usually AP/Eastern Catalytic, decent price, good quality, and (very importantly) they usually fit right without any screwing around. Thank you @VStar650CL. I apologize for being high maintenance. Although I’ve done a wide variety of repai...
