Re: Who has the highest miles? Post miles & service history

212K: Replaced my dead cat yesterday. Well...Nissan did and gave me a great deal on labor. It took them two days on the lift to ease the bolts apart and several broke anyway (this thing has spent half its life on the east coast), confirming this was not something I wanted to do in my garage. Among ...

Re: Got some new tires - Yokohama Geolandar A/T G015

Just closing the loop, I have had these tire for almost 6 years, 55,000 miles now. They have been great and have worn very even but the tread depth is now low and i'm starting to get some rotational noise. I will be changing them out to either the same size or go up one size here in the next few we...

Re: 1997 transmission swap

I have a 1997 Nissan Pathfinder that is currently an auto that I want to swap to a manual. I have found a manual transmission out of a 1991 Nissan Pathfinder that had a vg30e, will this transmission mate up to the vg33e? Sorry no one has answered you yet. This question is really above my paygrade a...

Z1 certainly has an excellent reputation in our world.
A mod to consider that's for sure.

Re: POR-15 on Random Things

My frame coul use some TLC too. Hired a guy to do it but he left some spots out. But my frame is actually not all that bad in the big scheme of things, no real damage anywhere and in the past 2 years, perhaps aided by the job I had hired and my regular applications of fluid film (every 6 months dren...

I got the mail for both ym Xterra and My R51 Pathfinder.
Doesnt seem all that serious.
The recall letter seemed to reflect that too IMO.

Re: Nissan Fluids Or Aftermarket

Its the V6, it was super noisy so I had to have the timing chain guides done and got a pittance from the manufacturer (there was a schedule to cover some of the cost). Does the V8 have the same problem? No. it does not. For some reason I thought you had a V8 so that line item caught my attention.

Re: Nissan Fluids Or Aftermarket

Looks like I am a little early on the trans and diffs, here is my list of everything that i know was done. Interestingly i do not see the serpentine belt. Weird i doubt very much that it has an original 15 year old belt on it. I will do the power steering fluid. I doubt that was ever done. and do t...

Re: Are body parts interchangeable?

There was a part number change at 12/98, so if the production dates cross that boundary then it may not fit. Anything 10/95 to 11/98 should be a fit. Also, the LE had a guard strip that the other models didn't have, and I think there's a recess for it in the sheet metal. So LE doors may not be iden...

That looks fantastic!!! Now I am starting to look for those wheels too... There's a guy on another forum selling a set for $500. He's in Romansville, PA, but I presume you could contact him and prearrange your own shipping. https://www.nissanforums.com/threads/nissan-frontier-pathfinder-wheels.2795...

Re: Nissan Fluids Or Aftermarket

I've always used aftermarket fluids in my 2006 SE. Either Mobil 1 or Valvoline full synthetic 75w-90 in both diffs. Either Castrol Transmax Import Multi-Vehicle or Valvoline MaxLife Multi-Vehicle ATF in the transmission and transfer case. This can also be used for power steering too. I also used th...
