Replace Factory Stereo

I replaced my entire system and used the factory wiring...per recommendation from Crutchfield. The other posts are correct in stating that factory head units limit the frequency output to accommodate inferior speakers. You will understand this fully when you do a complete replacement and will be hap...

Thanks for the prompt response! It's nice to hear that other people have had success with the equipment. Did you happen to get different upper control arms? I'm wanting to run 285/75/16's and wasn't certain whether I should upgrade the UCA's while I'm in there. I did not replace the control arms as...

Regarding the "Not for USA Manufacture": I think this has more to do with the alignment issues earlier users experienced during the conversion. A good alignment shop will get it right for you. Essentially, any lift should cause the same alignment issues, not just with the OME supply. This ...

I've been looking into the OME lift for a while. If you're in the U.S. can you please let me know where you purchased this? The ARB website doesn't have any R51 lifts from OME. Thanks for your help! I purchased from Rocky Road which worked out well, Their "R51 Kit" was all I needed. I did...

Model year: 2005 LE Lift height: 1.75" Type of lift: Suspension Lift Brand: Old Man EMU (OME), medium springs and Nitrocharger Sport shocks at all four corners. How's the ride compared to stock: Ride is slightly more firm. There is less sway around corners with the stiffer springs, in spite of...

Cut the bolt

Can you get a hand grinder up there with a cutting disk on it and just cut the bolt off? The fastener should be easy to replace. If you get the bolt free from the nut you can then cut the head off, pound it back in flush, and remove the shock.

Old Man Emu (OME) Installed and tested

There is a lot of good and bad feed back regarding OME suspension components for the R51 Pathfinder, so I thought I would write a quick review. One week ago I had a qualified shop install my OME suspension and perform the alignment. The alignment went very well with no issues. Initial drive confirme...

Old Man Emu -1.75" of lift

I opted for the Old Man Emu (OME) suspension. Medium springs front and back and the Nitrocharger sport shocks. Ride is still refined in spite of being a little stiffer and lifted, and handling/drive quality at highway speeds is improved over stock. The amount of lift did not take away from the ride ...

The Tape works

I also had an annoying squeak that was impossible to locate. I used the tape method described and it's gone.
