Re: Transmission Noises?

When you replaced the caliper brake pads, did you check to be sure that the caliper guide pins are freely moving and lubricated? If a pin is seized in its bore (typically from rust) the outboard brake pad will behave badly by pulling into the rotor crooked but never quite engaging properly, if at a...

Transmission Noises?

Hi all, I recently had a driveline noise develop in my 2006 RWD Pathfinder. At first, I thought it was the brakes, but I did a brake change (pads and rotors were due), which didn't solve anything. I used anti-seize and put the anti-chatter clips in the front rotors. I also did the parking brake shoe...

Re: P0430 Code

Thanks, everyone! Should I replace the sensors while I'm at it?

P0430 Code

My 2006 Pathfinder just threw a P430 code. There are no noticeable differences in engine sound or performance from before and after the code. I tried the cat cleaner in a bottle as a long shot. Do I need to change out the Bank 2 cat? Should I change Bank 1 while I'm at it? Or is it just a sensor iss...

Interior Fuse Box Ground Wire Location

Is there a common location for chassis grounding for the interior fuse box? I'm wiring in a dashcam using one of the empty ACC fuse locations, and I'd like to use the factory ground location if possible. The ground wire has one of those open circle connectors that can go around a bolt.

Interior Fuse Box Ground Wire Location

Hi all, I'm hardwiring in a dashcam and I plan to use the interior fuse box on the passenger side. I'm going to use one of the empty ACC slots, but I'm not too sure where I should ground the connection. If there is an easy to get to chassis ground around the fuse box, I'd like to use that. The groun...

2006 Nissan Pathfinder Burning Oil Smell

Hi all, I have a 2006 Nissan Pathfinder with about 130k miles on it. If the truck idles or sits in traffic, you can smell burning oil either in the engine bay or through the air vents in the cabin. The smell clears up when you get moving. The exhaust smells normal, and there are no abnormal engine n...

Center Console Lid Latch Broke

The latching mechanism on the lid of my center console has always been broken (as in, missing). This makes the lid wobbly and quite annoying, requiring constant retightening of the three screws that connect it to the rear hinge mechanism. Do I need to replace the entire lid, or can I get a replaceme...

Interesting reaction on the LED bulb conversion. I did that for an old motorcycle (2001 yzf) and I thought it worked great. The reflector housing was still obviously designed for halogen, but the increased visibility at low/high beam was amazing. I'd really like to do an LED conversion on my 2006 pa...

I went with the ACDELC TPMS175K. ~$30/each...so definitely not the most expensive but not the cheapest by a long shot. Hopefully this fixes the TPMS warning light...I'm so tired of it being on for the past year.

Which TPMS Sensor Should I Buy?

I'm replacing all four tires and have at least one (if not more) dead TPMS sensors, causing the fault light to come on in the dash. OEM TPMS sensors are a bit spendy, but I'd like to have a reliable system....does anyone have any suggestions?

Broken Gear Cable Attachment to Gear Selector

The eye connector that connects the gear selector cable to the gear selector appears to have lost it’s inner retaining ring or something. Anyone know the part number to replace?

TMPS Error

Hi all, Ever since I got my 2006 Pathfinder, the TPMS light would blink for a minute, then turn solid and remain on. I thought I had a dead or dying sensor in one or more of the wheels, but a tire shop said they were all good when I checked. So I bought a universal TPMS reset tool on Amazon and went...
