As far as the 4WD light...it's never worked right and will continue to blink forever unless I stop and go into reverse or make a very sharp turn either way...which isn't the best when you're on the highway going 60 mph!

I bought a 2005 SE last winter and the transmission had been rebuilt from the previous owner. It has the radiator bypassed.

I'm thinking about replacing the transfer case fluid and the differential fluids since I'm not sure that the rebuilt would have covered any of those.
The tranny has about 20 ...

Just an FYI...I too have terrible bump steer on my 2005 pathfinder. I also have the super soft rear springs and was getting complaints from pretty much everyone that sat in the back that the truck was SOOOOO bumpy. I don't tow but carry quite a bit of gear and people on occasion.

I'm not on here often but I fixed mine by dropping the glove box (as if you were changing the filter) and then running through the modes to see what was happening.

I realize the sway bar itself is a different diameter and the bushings I have appear to be correct. I'm curious if the end links are actually the same or different. I might have to take a closer look and see if there is a noticeable difference or if they are oriented differently.

I have a 2005 SE and replaced the front sway bar bushings. Made a noticeable difference in the way the car handles bumps...steering was jumping around a lot when you'd hit bumps in the road...
Anyway, I just bought some rear bushings and end links for both the front and rear. I haven't installed ...

I went out to the truck and just ever so slightly tapped the brake so I could drop it into gear and the lights never came on again...

This vehicle definitely has some quirks...oh, and the tire pressure warning light went off too!

I was planning on giving the e-brake a look when the weather turns a bit nicer here. I'll give the brake fluid a check and if that isn't the culprit I might have a a shop check it with a scan tool...

Would most shops be able to do this or would it need proprietary Nissan Consult II type ...

Googled this and found lots of different reasons why this may happen.
Drove my daughter to school the other day after a good size snowfall I was in 4wd...continued on to work and both the VDC and Slip light came on when I switched out of 4wd for the drive home.

So, the shop I took the truck to has verified that the primary chain has stretched and the tensioner to it is fully extended.
I had him test the oil pressure and he said it's running about 22 psi which is about 5 psi below ideal.
He's done about 15 of these engines and he said that when the oil ...

Thanks for the suggestions! I plan to take it into a shop that my favorite transmission guy suggested...

They seem to know their stuff and are the ones that suggested the oil gasket might want to be looked at while they are in there.
I'll have them give it a good look and report back.

oh man, what have I gotten into!
So give me an honest opinion here...if you can, I've had one place quote me 1800.00 for replacing the chains and stuff with a kit. He mentioned the oil galley fix would be included in that. if he didn't do the oil fix it would be 1500.00...

Is it worth it to bite ...
