Re: SIEMED Fog Lights - I like them

I didn't realize what @Neeginan was showing us before. I just got a set, will put them in sometime in the next few days. Took the opportunity to try the Katana LED headlight bulbs that everyone loves on clubfrontier. My last attempt at LEDs was about five years ago and the LED placement was in the w...

Re: 2006 PF LE Engine Swap - Am I Crazy?

While your Pathfinder is an 05 so you dont have the longer nose of the 08+ that had been lengthened to accommodate the V8 option, I wonder if a V8 swap isnt still possible for you. Just a facelift, didn't lengthen the engine bay. Same radiator, etc. in the front for V-6 and V-8, but as SMJ points o...

Re: SIEMED Fog Lights - I like them

There are plenty of aftermarket vendors on Amazon who make fog lights for our trucks. Which is good, because they sure do like to catch rocks :-/ Both of mine are cracked and due for replacement... One OBTW on this though, even when you order from the same vendor a second time, you may get a slightl...

Re: Frontier Rock Sliders/Side Steps

Are you stuck on OEM? Cause when I Google around I find plenty of options for new step rails for the Pathfinder. If they really need to be rock sliders, well, that's a different creature. In the long long ago, plenty of forum members tried running without step rails. But then the bottom of the frame...

Re: Heated Seat Repair - R51

Reviving an old thread - my seat bottom heater stopped working on the driver’s seat (2011 Silver Edition) Any ideas on how to find replacement heated pads? Do the folks here have any suggestions for ones that would be plug and play? Are there “gotchas” with the airbag connectors? The ones on my Toy...

Odd noise at start up

So during cold starts (not "winter," just after sitting a long time), my truck makes non-metallic sputtering noises for 5-10 seconds like either something is pressurizing, or a relief valve somewhere is letting go. The engine itself sounds fine, this is something else. I know the noises of...

Re: Cerakote / Griot's Garage headlight restoration kit

Just the headlight kit. The sprays and whatnot are for shops that do speciality paint and coatings. If you have your own booth and whatnot I guess it would work (I found some pictures on Google of different auto plastic parts with clear on them) but the headlight kit is super easy.

Re: Cerakote / Griot's Garage headlight restoration kit

I am about to have new headlights put on. So which product exactly are you recommending for a new headlight assembly? The Cerakote kit is the ultimate long term fix. Minimum though, I did put Gtechniq G5 on my parents' much newer vehicles that are always inside. Its also ceramic and a lot quicker t...

Re: Cerakote / Griot's Garage headlight restoration kit

Nice, I've tried Turtle Wax, 3M, and Meguiars before. They all unfortunately last about a yr + or - some months out here in the desert. I'm better off replacing the headlight assemblies and use like 303 Aerospace once in a while to keep it looking new as long as possible. I've used those in the pas...

Re: B25 Silverton Blue

So Automotive Touchup is the one we all want. No, this is not a great paint job, but when I saw how far the deterioration had gone I needed to do something soon. I chipped and sanded away broken/unattached paint, primed over anything where the base coat was gone, and clear coated most of everything....

Aftermarket rear view camera?

Just curious, has anyone added a rear view camera with something unobtrusive, and non-obvious like a license plate bracket? My head unit's bluetooth transmitter is starting to flake after 12 years of service so I might take the opportunity to get a fancy Pioneer unit with all the Apple Carplay fixin...
