I think it's the clutch. The warbling noise (high pitch spinning noise inside the engine bay, annoying warble inside the truck) switches on and off with the compressor. I was unaware that you could clean it and didn't see that in the service manual, is there something you can point me too? By electr...

A/C compressor clutch

Has anyone tried replacing their compressor clutch/pulley without removing the compressor itself? It looks like there's enough room to do it if I take out the fan shroud, wheel well liner and a couple other things. Now that warm weather is here and the A/C is kicking in, it reminded me that I need t...

Not sure why you want the CAI mod, but I remember reading some posts over at a MPG forum that cold air intakes give more HP, warm air gives better fuel economy. I don't know why they would think that - certainly not a textbook answer. Aside from the density and power per stroke question, efficiency...

I saw your thread; my tires have a couple years to go or I'd do the same thing.

In your case if the sensors themselves are still good they do have seal kits for a few dollars per wheel. Wish that were the extent of my problem!

Best deal on TPMS?

So one of my TPMS sensors is dying slowly...I've been getting the TPMS light after twenty minutes or so of driving regardless of air pressure. Nissan told me yesterday it has a low voltage fault code and has a failing battery. Replacement through them is around $90 something for a new sensor plus re...

Eventually it'll become overworked and either cease to conform or crack and leak.

I don't replace it every time but I do replace it at least every other time. Alternatively, if you have a torch of some kind you can anneal it and use it indefinitely...but I'd rather just buy a pack of them.

I think after rereading this thread again, the air bags help even when not towing. I think I will have to do this when I get back to the states. They really do, even unloaded. I find that the stock rear suspension bottoms out much too easily, and unsettles the front end including steering going ove...

I finally fixed most of this. A lot of it was coming from the wires behind the stereo and center console. It was probably exacerbated by my aftermarket head unit with two USB ports, an aux port, etc., but it wasn't that different. $3 craft store solution: I wrapped the loose cables and whatnot in fe...

I have almost 30K miles on my LTX's (or the Sears variant anyway) and love them. Still more than enough tread for snow and ice this winter; I think they'll go to 50K miles easily.

I called the dealership that replaced my radiator today. Haven't received a letter, but I'm good to go. They told me to call Nissan USA with the repair order number from June 2010 and ask them to send a warranty claim application to the dealership. Then I wait a few weeks and I should get a check......

I haven't received the letter yet but I had it replaced a few months ago. This covers all 2005's in the US right?

Since I have to replace my catalytic converters I'd like to get my money back for the radiator fiasco...

Do you have a micrometer to check run out on the drive shaft as per the manual? ... where in the service manual is that located, if you know off the top of your head? In the power train section. I'll try to look it up later today. But basically when the drive shaft is removed it calls for checking ...

Do you have a micrometer to check run out on the drive shaft as per the manual? While I had a bad U-joint, the real culprit for my vibration issue was a bent front driveshaft. This may have been caused by the U-joint or it may have been a forging defect. (I think there's a TSB out there on driveshaf...
