You won't see anything till they just start misfiring unfortunately. Aside from Rock Auto, the Autozone cost for their store brands ranges from$73-$90, and I went through two of them when I had misfires at around 200K. Getting six Z1's if they're really rated for higher output and longer lifespan se...
What does it take to aim them, is there an external screw?
Yes - the same 8mm hex nut for vertical alignment that's present on the OEM assembly. Left/right is fixed but it's straight as-is. They were very close to perfect right out of the box though, I only had to raise the left one a tiny bit.
Finally got these in today. HIDProjectors opened and resealed these, but I ran a line of butyl rubber around the seams for extra water intrusion protection. Ceramic coated with Gtechniq this and that, should stay clear for the long run! I followed the instructions found on most of the forums. Did no...
I get more inprovement from them vs stock than I get from the Katana bulbs in my stock housing. Katanas are pretty good but there are times like driving across the desert on a moonless night where I wish I had LED projectors.
Here comes my next upgrade, courtesy of HIDprojectors.com . I wanted to retain a stock look next to the new OEM grill, etc. Going to stuff some extra butyl rubber around the seals and put some protective film on first, but excited to get these on. Already have the modern LED projector foglights and ...
I think there are two part numbers, the original 100 amp my 2005 came with, and the later 110 amp alternator. I installed the latter about two years ago and it's been swell.
Tackled something on the back burner: I removed my rear sway bar and its brackets, and resurfaced the sections where the bushings clamp onto it. I had just been tossing new OEM bushings in there, but there was a fair amount of rust pitting and bubbles, plus stuck-on old rubber that meant the bar was...
I've also had good luck with the McMaster struts but you have to remember that 2 struts need 4 threaded ends not just 2... While we are one the liftgate subject: Mine rattles like crazy. I've shifted the clasp and latch pieces and tightened them down. I put some white lithium grease inside the latc...
It's a matte screen, no glare problems so far. Only thing I don't like about it is the "dim" setting at night is a little brighter than I'd like it to be, but it's liveable and the whole unit can at least be turned off. My last head unit did not actually dim with the headlights even though...
I did a thing... https://hosting.photobucket.com/images/e185/txnavy/IMG_1558.jpg?width=960&height=720&fit=bounds Atoto S8 Premium. Don't know if I'll try to install cameras, but I like it a lot already. Fast and snappy. I put the GPS, 4G, and WiFi antennas under the dash. Speed sensitive sou...
So I think that the difference here is the running boards... Versions delivered without the stock running boards have those mini mud flaps, but you never see them on models with the running boards. I could be wrong, but i made a trip to the auto wrecker today and the 2012 there did not have boards ...
Someone parked their 2005 with these front side flaps next to my truck today. Never seen them before. https://hosting.photobucket.com/images/e185/txnavy/IMG_1521.jpg?width=960&height=720&fit=bounds If there's an R51, I usually park next to it out of principle. This time, someone else did the...
