at 180k miles you definitely need new shocks, you do not want to have those old ones on your car, especially if you need to swerve out the way, like the moose test...

Try and get one of those filters with glass bowl then you can see if it is trapping dirt. Nevertheless, if you have dirty diesel it is difficult to correct without using it all up/draining the tank and replacing with proper diesel. Sometimes garages also mix paraffin in with their diesel to make it ...

When you move the shifter into manual it is completely manual. You will need to manually change gears. If the car is stationary it automatically selects 1st and will not allow one to shift up until it is moving at a specified speed. The indicator on the dash should show what gear it is in. If you ar...

Could be dirty diesel. Are you able to use 50ppm diesel and is it from reputable source that does not have contaminated tanks?

Hi Kofi I trust you are keeping well. Attached is an image from the troubleshooting section of the Haynes workshop manual. I hope you can see it, it is the first time I have posted an image so not sure exactly how it works. This may assist you in identifying the problem. There are so many sensors on...

No. I find it holds the road really well. My tie rod ends are worn so there is a bit of wandering due to that but no bump steer.

I have not noticed this in 4LO. However, when I am in LO I mostly use manual mode anyway. I climbed a steep offroad pass the other day (in 4LO and 4HI without using manual mode) and I was very impressed how it selected the correct gear consistently. (diesel) VDC switches off in low range (indicated ...

Take them out, check how clean they are, inspect the insulation for cracks, check the gap. But if regularly serviced then they should be fine unless when last replaced one was a dud. Could also be one or two of the coils. Each sparkplug has a coil. One of them could be faulty. My BMW or XTrail was r...
