Re: Heater fan won't turn off

Done and done! Ordered from PartsAvatar which cost about $175CAD for both and arrived in about a week. Replacement was easy, two bolts and a plug on the resistor and three bolts and a plug on the blower. The hardest part was removing the piece of trim which covers one blower bolt. It was about -15°c...

Re: Heater fan won't turn off

Excellent! Thanks Vstar! Looks like there are lots of YouTube videos and it's all inside, under the passenger side. I'll be ordering some parts today (lots of after market options and half the price of OEM) and update my progress.
Part numbers I found are:
VBC: 27151-ZT00A
Blower motor: 27226-EA010

Heater fan won't turn off

Hey everyone, I noticed recently that the fan for the climate control is always running. It's a 2012 with dual zone climate control and the infotainment screen. I usually set it to Auto, and the fan turns on once the car has warmed up, but now it runs constantly. The fan control looks like I'm adjus...

Ok to use a old version part number?

Is it ok to use a part that has been replaced/updated with a newer part number? I have a P0448 evap code (2012 SV) and I am looking to replace the vapor canister control valve. The Nissan parts website states that part number 14935-JF00A has been replaced by 14935-JF02C, $120CAD from Nissan. I can o...

Re: How much is too much?

Thanks! I ended up taking the filter off and dumping it out carefully, twice, and now I'm about 1/4" below the top hole. I was worried that it would free flow if I took the filter out, but it did not. I realize that picture I attached was not great, the oil level was definitely into the H but b...

How much is too much?

It really pains me to ask this... But how much is too much oil...? The dipstick has little holes, are those the absolute min/max? I changed my oil on Sunday and after checking the level it seems to reach past the top hole to the top of the H but below the bend... Follow up, is there a way to drain a...

One tip I used that was super helpful...
Brilliant! I could've used that when I took apart my dishwasher yesterday!

Re: Rear Wheel Well - missing fender flaps?

So I think that the difference here is the running boards... Versions delivered without the stock running boards have those mini mud flaps, but you never see them on models with the running boards. I could be wrong, but i made a trip to the auto wrecker today and the 2012 there did not have boards b...

If there's an R51, I usually park next to it out of principle. This time, someone else did the same!
Lol. The only time I got upset while teaching my son to drive was when he refused to park next to a twin R51 at the grocery store.

Kids these days!

Re: Rear Wheel Well - missing fender flaps?

Can confirm in my 2012, mud flaps on the rear of the wheel well, and notches in the front side.

Re: Losing time

Yes, it is cold right now (-31°c / -24°f), but the clock has been falling more behind all year. The battery was new in October 2021. I will check the terminals and maybe throw on the trickle charger tomorrow. She was a bit reluctant to start the first time today, but started up and never flinched on...

Losing time

Hey everyone, I have a 2012 PF, with the back up camera/rear climate control etc. On January 1, 2023 I set the clock to match my phone, right down to the second lol. Today, the PF clock is running about 3-1/2 minutes behind! Is this a symptom of something else that I should be worried about? We've h...

Happy Sesquarmillennial!! That's amazing, and great news for me, with almost exactly half that mileage (171,771km) 😊.

Re: No tow/haul button…

Thanks Spatula! Sounds like your in Alberta too! It’s been too long since I’ve camped at Cypress, maybe next year when I’ve got an outfit! I also see you’ve got a nice MTB. That’s the main reason I want a camper so we can start doing family MTB trips. My son and I hit Hinton this year and had so mu...

Re: Show it off!! Recent pics of your Pfinder, let's see 'em!

It always makes me smile when I fit 10' 2x4s in the pathy. I took down a section of our fence yesterday a built a double gate to replace it, easily fit all the lumber and hardware in the pathy in one trip. Granted it's a small job, but do I need a frontier? Truck no! :D
